Texans roster moves

"Knowing if I do my job and keep two on me, it'll free up those guys to make plays."

When he heard of the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, he tried to make a sandwich out of him. This dude could fall over and block 6 foot of the field sort of like the big Subway sandwich.

He's so fat when he stands in front of the sun it's considered a Celestial Event.

My guess is that Nix hasn't moved as fast as they would like and they still think he's a long term project, move him to IR, and then pick up a stopgap till next year.

Sucks but it is what it is, I had hoped Nix would come ready to play.

My suspicion is that he dropped because he wouldn't be immediate help and they couldn't wait. We either hoped for the best or decided waiting was worth the value. The pick is not yet a flop if the latter holds true.

But hopefully his problems are fixable.

Nix is a Texans' third round, the odds are not his favor.

He was a first round talent that fell to third. But will it be a bargain or bust? It depends on whether he can return to be the player who was originally considered a first round talent.

If he was always a third round talent, then your statement would make more sense to me. But opinions are just that.

He's so fat that when the colts come to town and try to beat our ass, they wont have enough time nor man power :kitten:

That's the way to stop em

The #Texans have parted ways with safety Shiloh Keo, per a league source. Has been dealing with a calf injury.

Saw this on the bleacher report app but not anywhere else.

Started 11 games last season RT @Rand_Getlin: #Texans have parted ways with safety Shiloh Keo, per a league source.

Tania picked it up so I'm guessing it's legit.

Yeah - it does look like they cut him this morning.

Shiloh Keo cut. S Josh Aubrey promoted from practice squad to roster and WR Travis Labhart back on practice squad.

Signed him to the practice squad a little while ago.

09/16/2014 The Texans have signed the following player to the Practice Squad: Josh Aubrey

He played 6 games for Cleveland last season and signed with Seattle in the off season. We picked him up mid month.

Hope Aubrey has no lingering problems from last year when he was placed on IR secondary to both knee and ankle injuries sustained in a practice session.

Like having Labhart back.

I'm optimistic in Aubrey, if Seattle were interested he must be ok. After all they do seem to have an eye for DBs.

#Texans release former Rice kicker Chris Boswell for the second time. He was added to the PS last week.

Dave Zangaro ‏@DZangaro
#Texans make moves official. Release Keo. Sign Aubrey from PS. Sign Labhart to PS. Nwachukwu to PS/injured. Boswell released from PS.

has declared the lad good to go.

What else do you need to hear?

Wow. I can't remember us ever making this many moves during the season. It's like having tryouts all year long.
It's called a coaching staff evaluating talent and getting the best players on the team. We haven't seen that in Houston before. I'm liking OB and his staff more and more every week.

I wonder if we'd still be rooting for the Oilers if they'd been here for this Age of Parity and could make the same roster moves. Floyd Reese was a pretty good personnel guy.

I agree. But it also doesn't hurt not to have "sloppy 25ths." :backsout:
