Texans rating?

gtexan02

Working?
I know this is probably stupid, but if you were EA Sports, what would you rate the Texans starting lineup (projected) and overall?

OFF:
QB: David Carr - 82
HB: Dom. Davis - 82
FB: Morran Norris - 70
WR: Andre Johnson - 90
WR: Jabar Gaffney (?) - 76
LT: Seth Wand - 74
LG: Chester Pitts - 72
C: Steve McKinney - 73
RG: Zach Wiegert - 73
RT: Todd Wade - 79
TE: Billy Miller - 75

DEF:
LE: Gary Walker - 75
NT: Seth Payne - 79
RE: Robaire Smith - 77
LOLB: Jason Babin - 79
BLB: Morlon Greenwood - 75
MLB: Jamie Sharper - 84
ROLB: Kailee Wong - 79
LCB: Aaron Glenn - 77
RCB: Dunta Robinson - 87
SS: Glen Earl - 74
FS: Marcus Coleman - 84

I guess I would put Offense at something like 77
Defense at something like 78?

what do you guys think?? (Feel free to include some projected rookies too!!)

PS: Please try to make this unbiased. As much as I'd love to put carr as a high 80's qb, he just doesnt have the numbers yet. Same goes for DD. He does well in most games, but those inconsistent games really hurt his rating. Andre could be moved to a 92 probably.

If u talking about Madden.

I would say:

QB- David Carr-88
RB- Domanick Davis 83
FB- Moran Norris 77

LT- Seth Wand 77
LG- Chester Pitts 79
C- Steve Mckinney 78
RG- Zach Wiergert 80
RT- Todd Wade 85

WR- Andre Johnson 90
WR- Troy Willamson 80
TE- Bennie Joppru 75

LE- Gary Walker 70
NT- Seth Payne 81
RE- Robaire Smith 85

ROLB- Demarcus Ware 78
MLB- Kaillee Wong 82
MLB- Morlon Greenwood 83
LOLB- Jason Babin 81

CB- Aaron Glenn 88
CB- Dunta Robinson 87
FS- Marcus Coleman 86
SS- Glenn Earl 79

I think your ratings are a little high, but I realized that mine are a little low. here's how I would change yours:

QB- David Carr-83 (down from 88)
RB- Domanick Davis 83
FB- Moran Norris 74 (down from 77)

LT- Seth Wand 78 (up from 77)
LG- Chester Pitts 77 (down from 79)
C- Steve Mckinney 78
RG- Zach Wiergert 80
RT- Todd Wade 85

WR- Andre Johnson 92 (up from 90)
WR- Troy Willamson 80
TE- Bennie Joppru 75

ROLB- Kailee Wong 82 (changed)
MLB- Antwaan Peek 80
MLB- Morlon Greenwood 81 (down from 83)
LOLB- Jason Babin 84 (up from 81)

CB- Aaron Glenn 83 (down from 88)
CB- Dunta Robinson 87
FS- Marcus Coleman 86
SS- Glenn Earl 79

I don't think Antwaan Peek will play MLB, if he has his head straight and matured we won't have to draft a ROLB, but we will see come draft day. But im 99 percent sure Peek won't be starting at MLB.

haha na i doubt peek will be our ILB either, if anything i figure wong will move back inside with Green Wood and babin and peek will play outside !

Hes too much speed and too little brains at this point to really stop and read the defense.

Not knocking his Intelligence. Hes Still raw and hungry to make a difference.

He is a young guy so id like him at ROLB with instructions to go get the ball.

QB Carr - 86
RB Davis - 84
FB Morris - 79
WR Johnson - 90
WR Gaffney - 82
LT Wand - 79
LG Pitts - 83
C McKinney - 77
RG Wiegert - 85
RT Wade - 86

LE Walker - 78
NT Payne - 83
RE Smith - 85
LOLB Babins - 81
ILB Wong - 85
ILB Greenwood - 79
ROLB Peek - 78
CB Glenn - 87
CB Robinson - 86
FS Coleman - 87
SS Earl - 78

Interesting topic.

I am not going to rate every player but I expect the Texans will be rated around 81-82 overall. They are a team on the cusp of the playoffs and ready to hopefully make a break through.

I think that Texan281 underated R smith and greenwood other than that other than that he hit it right on the dot

we can rate all we want, but the fact of the matter is we could have 53 players that all have a rating of 99 and unless they play as one unit/a team we wont win.

spears and babin on the same side could be a tandem.

I know it is not caper's "philosophy" to do a lot of zone blitz (even though he is one of the masterminds that introduced it in Pitsburgh  ) I think with an athletic DE like spears he would do it more often and with babin around the corner with greenwood up the middle could mean more sacks and pressure on the QB. :whoohoo:
