Tashaun Gipson said Jaguars corner A.J. Bouye, the former Texans starter, is one of his closest friends. Said he and Texans corner and former Jaguars teammate Aaron Colvin gave him lots of advice about joining the Texans. Said it was very helpful in making his decision.

Seattle is a decent proxy for London weather.

In early November you can expect anything from reasonable with a bit of sun to cold and wet. It's unlikely to be warm, but the least pleasant of the weather hasn't usually arrived yet.

Okay, for the Texans first three picks, they get 3 wonderful offensive linemen. Then, for their first three picks, they get three great defensive backs. Next, for their first three picks, they get incredible defensive linemen, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and linebackers, which is more than three, but hey, it's my dream, I can dream what I want. Dreams don't have to make sense.

It's my own dream version of fantasy football in which the Texans become a dynasty. I know you guys will agree with that outcome.

Some things make me glad I'm old. This is one of them. Then again, my Dad didn't care for my Beatle Boots and bell bottom jeans. I thought I was cool. My, how times change.

To be clear, Hopkins isn't affiliated with the bolded (at least not that I could find). That sbrand is out of Italy. Hop's stuff is sold thru the Texans Gear Shop.
But he might be setting up his post-football hustle... :)

A lot of folks see the Texans as cheap and in the bottom half of the league, but their recent record puts them in the top half of the league. I think there's some validity to both sides of that discussion. The question for both sides is how they get better.

It's not enough to spend money; it's about spending money wisely.

Until I see more from him, I am inclined to give Gaine a long leash and a lot of benefit of the doubt. The Rocket's DMorey hasn't been without fault (Carmelo Anthony, anyone?), but he should nonetheless be considered a + GM. I have a sneaky feeling that time will show Gaine to be as good as Morey. I'm inclined to trust Gaine to spend money wisely. Time will tell.
 
I'm good with the 1st three rounds. The TE pick will piss some folks off, and I'd rather them taken a safety in the 3rd round, but the guy is a pretty decent TE for the 3rd round. Hope he can block.

No 4th round pick tomorrow unless they trade up. So it's just picking the scraps for the rest of the draft. Hopefully we pick up a good scrap or two.

Do we offer next year's 4th to a team near the bottom?
Who knows, we could end up with a comp next season to make up for it.
 
Didn't really know where to put this regarding the DRAFT, so............

The NFL had asked teams to please not choose till at least five minutes of their 10-minute first-round time limit had passed, so the League could do the TV-presentation stuff and not get the picks all backed up.
