If I were the punctuation police I would point out that you just identified your wife as Hook em'

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
well maybe but let's wait to hear from Hook-em. Also to OP, Shorts is no longer with team so you might email his list back to him. :ant:

Not sure I like any of those ILB options listed above. I guess they just carry on with what they have and trust Cush to get better faster than expected.. #pregnantagain

It looked like Cushing hurt his knee on the very first defensive play and stayed in for several series after.

He goes down awkward on that play and you can see him rubbing his knee before the next snap.

It's being reported that this will be our "color rush" jersey game for the Thursday 22 September game vs Patriots...who will also be wearing blue jerseys.

The NFL won't allow both those jerseys in thr same game. NE will have to go light.

Doesn't home team pick which color they want? Game is @Patriots
While traditionaly colored for home we wore white on white this past week.

Best I could find, Wiki:

The NFL's current rules require that a team's home jerseys must be "either white or official team color" throughout the season, "and visiting clubs must wear the opposite".[3] If a team insists on wearing its home uniforms on the road, the NFL Commissioner must judge on whether their uniforms are "of sufficient contrast" with those of their opponents.[3] The road team might instead wear a third jersey, such as the Seattle Seahawks' "Wolf Grey" alternate.

Definitley not "of sufficient contrast" if these two jerseys are indeed true leaks. Even with white pants it'd still look odd. Stay tuned!

Yeah, wasn't paying attention to where the game was. Home team choice.

It used to be funny with teams who traditionally wore dark jerseys as their preferred uniform choosing their light uniforms to make the Cowboys wear blue because there was some thought they didn't play as well in blue.

While this is our actual color rush, we won't see it @Patriots. Do we have another Thursday game?
*Edit - We do not*

Nike expands Color Rush program to all teams

Other teams will wear all white on the field because their primary Color Rush color is the same as their opponent's. The Falcons will wear white against the Buccaneers, the Cardinals will wear white against the 49ers, and the Texans will wear white against the Patriots.

I read somewhere that the Texans are wearing all white for the color rush game. If they go with white helmets it'll be a little different...

Unless we paint them or decal them, NFL won't allow it. They have a one helmet safety rule. I too would like to see the white promo helmet.

NFL hasn’t changed its one-helmet rule
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/08/03/nfl-hasnt-changed-its-one-helmet-rule/

The expanded use of the “Color Rush” program in 2016 has sparked plenty of speculation regarding the looks that teams will trot out for Thursday games. The chatter has included the possibility of college-style alternate helmets.

That won’t be happening, because the league has retained its rule that requires each player to wear only one helmet per year. The rule was adopted for safety reasons several years ago.

The helmets could be repainted, in theory. But this isn’t a random grade-school team from the ’70s where the coach rattles the ball in a can of spray paint before misting a fresh coat on each player’s flimsy helmet with single-bar mask (the good news is that the paint fumes countered the second-hand smoke). Getting NFL helmets to look the right way isn’t a simple process, and with the “Color Rush” games coming on Thursdays and teams typically playing the preceding Sunday, there simply won’t be time to do it the right way.

So while the “Color Rush” jerseys and pants may be interesting (or not) in appearance, the NFL won’t be adopting an approach to headgear that will spark the same kind of “Hey, who in the hell am I watching?” confusion that confronts plenty of fans surfing through college games every Saturday in the fall.

I heard they signed their QB1 and RB1, but not sure if those deals are final yet...

lol:

I should have specified after the cuts were made.

Edit:

I was coming here to post about the Color Rush jersey thing, that looks freaking awesome! I wouldnt mind a permanent switch to them. I'm gonna definitely get me one.

After watching Keenum highlights vs the 49ers, I'm glad we got Os.

Also I hope Os learns to throw our speedsters open as well as Big Ben does.

I'm glad this thread exists because I had a random and useless realization today.

After Fuller scored his TD against the bears, he puts up 2-1-5 with his hands. That's an area code for a part of Philadelphia which is also his hometown. Thought it was slightly interesting.

That is actually pretty interesting!

I was in Philly weekend before last. Wonder where he sits in the cheese steak debate.

I ate at Pappa Geno's on Friday and it has outstanding Cheese Steaks. They have one with Cheese Whiz if you like them that way.

I was wearing my Texan's gear and one the tables stopped me and asked if I had a radio show.

Genos or Pats is where it's at!

I had Tony Luke's cheesesteak last time I was up there; very disappointed. Wouldn't go back. Very bland and dry.

Looks like Reshard Cliett has jioned the Broncos PS.

http://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/Ex-Texan-Reshard-Cliett-added-to-Broncos-9220494.php

Former Texans inside linebacker Reshard Cliett has signed with the Denver Broncos' practice squad, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.

Cliett previously worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was one of the Texans' final roster cuts.

As a rookie, Cliett spent the season on injured reserve. with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The sixth-round draft pick from South Florida also underwent shoulder surgery to address an old college injury during his convalescence from the knee injury.

Texans waive Vainuku

The Texans waived fullback Soma Vainuku from injured reserve.

The cousin of Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga, Vainuku signed with the Texans after going undrafted in the spring. Vainuku rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns at USC, catching 17 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown.

He got off easy. Those things are hideous.

What's worse:

DeAndre wearing Yeezy cleats, expressing his individuality, or...

Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem to express his belief that America has failed some of her citizens?

I can respect someone saying this or that needs to improve domestically. Agree or disagree I respect their right and their voice.

I cannot respect someone trying to go out and ball and represent my football team in kitty litter print cleats. It's undignified, man.

of course, the man delivers 1500 yds, 10+ tds, and an afc crown and he can wear a toga and a garter underneath his pads and celebrate with his man purse for all I care.

go Texans!

Don't forget the little designer dog!
