Texans Possible Draft Targets (Player Visits, Pro Days, etc.)

Wagner offensive tackle Greg Senat, a 6-8, 290-pound former basketball player, to visit the Texans prior to the draft, according to a league source

Aaron wilson
I have him with our last 3rd round selection..may be a round high but he looks good

Has there ever been a good OT that tall? Honest question - I don't know the answer. In my head, these guys lose leverage when they're too tall.

Jonathan Ogden and Joe Jacoby come to mind. But they were big and tall, not lean and tall.

Good enough list for me -- guess I'll have to get that idea out of my head. The only guy this tall that I've watched a lot of was Bryant McKinnie (6'8") and I always felt like his height worked against him.

Looks like another small CB with speed and alpha mentality brought in for a visit. Think they’ll be going away from the “bigger, longer stronger” mindset in the later rounds to get guys that are just plain good football players despite their size.

4.3 speed and this nice stat:

Allowed 36 percent completion rate over final two seasons

Fant is a stud. He's gone very under the radar because he's undersized and played for a poor Indiana team. He doesn't get a ton of INT's but he breaks up a ton of passes. He had 39 pass breakups his first 2 years as a starter and only 9 this past year because teams just quit trying to throw at him.

Their LB, Tegray Scales, is also going under the radar and would be getting a lot more hype if coming from another program.

I really hope we get him with one of those 6th round picks. Him and Richie James for slot WR. Grab a couple productive talented players with a chip on their shoulder. I’d rather take a flier on somebody who knows how to play football but doesn’t meet the protypical NFL measurables than a guy who looks like Tarzan/plays like Jane.

I think it is not so much the height but ability to bend, squat and hip swivel. FYI, Brian O'Neil 6'064" (senior bowl) is considered very good OT. Desmond Harrison 6'06 and is getting some mentions to be taken top 50; Brandon Parker 6'072" projected in top five in third. Orlando Brown who was projected early by many to be in top 40 is considered an "immediate starter at right tackle". Again for me..depends on player.

Zaycoven Henderson to workout for Texans: https://www.chron.com/sports/texans...m-Texas-A-M-workout-after-arrest-12813356.php

This is a bit of a surprise since Henderson was arrested back in December for felony aggravated assault charges. He was suspended from the Aggies Football Team and was "excluded" from participating in the A&M Pro Day workout. Maybe the Texans have changed in regards to at least looking at troubled players and possibly giving them a 2nd chance!

Here is the list from WalterFootball.com of all the players the Texans have had in for workouts and interviews so fat this off season:

A lot of the guys I think would be good fits for the Texans haven't held a workout or even had a meeting with the Texans.

How is Brian Gaine gonna do this? Focus more on players they'v met with or pretend to show no interest until it's our turn to pick?

Good scouting department :troll:

NFL Draft Diamonds is reporting that an AFC South team is showing interest in Malik Watson from Dixie State. (Formerly of San Jose State, 6'3, 225)

Worked out at the BYU Pro Day.

Based on research, it's probably the Titans but you never know. (Why I posted it here)

I have "discovered" two that I feel are very worthy of a good hard look - Mike White, QB and Kalen Ballage RB
White's biggest failing is he is not a mobile QB, but has oodles of arm talent and also happens to be pretty accurate with a low int rate. I see him as a Nick Foles of this draft.
Ballage is a big physical specimen with a 4.45 40 and intimidating running style. He also has decent hands. His biggest failing is his occasional hesitation when hitting the line and poor vision but a good running team/coaches will help him out with that.

Could be Jags as well.
