Because he hasn't played in live situation in 8 months. He needs to knock the rust off. It's probably good that he gets hit too.

Obviously you don't want him to get hit because you don't want him to get hurt, but he needs to get back in the groove of real football.

Martin has a larger low center than I thought. Could play outside.
