That would be a steal.I cannot find Williams earlier than round 6. Would you be okay with Golden at 25 and Williams in round 6?

I’d prefer Kelvin Banks in round 6 myself.Just as likely he’d be there as WilliamsI cannot find Williams earlier than round 6. Would you be okay with Golden at 25 and Williams in round 6?
Have you seen Banks in any mock not going before round 6. Neither have I. We all have seen players drafted higher than we thought and also those who have been drafted much lower.I’d prefer Kelvin Banks in round 6 myself.Just as likely he’d be there as Williams![]()
Welcome to Houston Dez Watson our new Nose! I don't know how many snaps he had in each game but according to my research and the article, he has not missed any games in his college career. He definitely clogged the middle but what I like: he seemed to keep his eyes on the ball. I am impressed.I'd take a flyer on this player!!

464-pound Desmond Watson could be largest draft pick in NFL history

The draft starts four weeks from tonight. And one of the players selected will generate well over four spins on the scale.
Via the Associated Press, 464-pound Florida defensive tackle Desmond Watson could be the largest draft pick in NFL history.
His weight comes with a massive six-foot, six-inch frame.
There’s currently no guarantee he’ll be drafted. Watson, who did not participate in the Scouting Combine, had his Pro Day workout on Thursday.
He bench-pressed 225 pounds 36 times. That’s more than any player mustered at this year’s Combine. He also ran the 40-yard dash in 5.93 seconds. He mustered a 25-inch vertical leap.
“Dez, obviously, he’s a unicorn,” Florida coach Billy Napier said, via the AP. “You’ll go the rest of your career and you’ll never be around a guy that’s that stature. And then you get to know Dez. He’s extremely intelligent. He’s got a great sense of humor. He was a great teammate.”
“He moves way better than anybody thought he would at his size,” Florida defensive tackle Joey Slackman said. “I don’t see why a team wouldn’t give him a chance. He’s a football player through and through; I would want that guy on my team.”
The fact that Watson wasn’t on the Combine list doesn’t mean he won’t be drafted. But he was overlooked for Indy, even though he’s hard to miss.
Here’s a look at what he did for the Gators.
If the scouts decide he’ll be hard to block, he’ll end up getting that chance — either at a draft pick or an undrafted free agent.
Yes and welcome to his fan club. You might remember my post from November ? This guy is going to be a Powerhouse but I think Houston will go for their running back day three. With a defense that already has the league world talking, I think this will be an offense heavy draft for the Texans and I can easily see the first three picks going O.
With FO seemingly already having the team they want in place, it's time to bring in some potential future replacements.
This would include WR, OL and yes, a feature back!
JOe Mixon was excellent for the Texans last season but he is not getting any younger. Sure, he could have a couple more great seasons left in the tank but, but! - what happens if he goes down with injury? Who we got left? You get my point!
So, as I am want to do, I have been checking out the running back class and I have found my guy that I think Texans can actually get without too much trouble and he is our feature back of the future and will make for an awesome 1-2 punch out of the backfield while Joe is here.
The guy?
Dudes, what an addition he would make to our offense!
True, he doesn't have that blazing speed but he scored 21 TDs last season due to his size, his vision, his balance and determination. He has a big time fend as well. He is very hard to bring down.
He can also catch as you will see in the video. His blocking needs to be refined, but he'll get that coaching here.
I think he could be there at #58, but I would chance one of those 3rds to move up and snag him.

Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson has my attention.. if he falls some in 3rd. 20 TDs and good avg. He understands how to get to the end zone and has the size that I like.
There's too many guys out there for me to keep straight. I don't understand why some get propped up & others don't. They all look special now, most don't in the NFL regular season.I am not opposed to Kaleb, but really Im looking for a guy with more juice. Give me Tuten from Virginia Tech. Supposedly has some fumble issues, but he’s the type of home run threat that could add a new dimension to the offense. He runs a sub 4.4 and as a RB…that matters.
Girlfriends do not always make good wives. There's always another level. There's too many guys out there for me to keep straight. I don't understand why some get propped up & others don't. They all look special now, most don't in the NFL regular season.
I’m liking that OT, Hollin Pierce (Rutgers) wingspan. At 6-8 and 341 lbs you’d be shocked when you see his tape as to how well he carries his weight. He’s also as naturally strong as an ox. Plays with a lot of nastiness as well.
We know, we know. :P Why do you think he's so far down on most draft boards, the average is in the 4th round? (Honest question)

My concern is he is going to have difficulty lowering and maintaining his weight to play in the NFL. Wait incentives protect money but don't do much to help the player maintain weight.College career
When Watson enrolled at Florida in 2021, he weighed 440 pounds (200 kg).[6] He was able to lower his weight to 400 pounds (180 kg) to begin his freshman season.[6] He appeared in all 13 games on the year, seeing action on special teams and as a reserve defensive lineman, thus becoming one of the largest players in NCAA Division I football history.[3][10] He played a total of 150 snaps and saw defensive action in eight games, recording seven tackles and a half-sack.[10] Between his freshman and sophomore seasons, his weight increased to 415 pounds (188 kg).[6]
Watson, a fan favorite, became a starter as a sophomore in 2022, appearing in 13 games, 10 as a starter, and recording 25 tackles and 1.5 TFLs.[10][11] He also forced, recovered, and returned a fumble against South Carolina which became a viral video.[1] Watson entered spring camp in 2023 weighing 449 pounds (204 kg), but later dropped his weight.[11] He appeared in all 12 games during the 2023 season and posted 11 tackles and one tackle-for-loss.[12] He entered spring camp in 2024 with a weight of 464 pounds (210 kg), later dropping back down to 449 pounds (204 kg) for the 2024 season.[12][13] As a senior in 2024, he played in all 13 games and totaled 20 tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.[4] In his last career game, the 2024 Gasparilla Bowl, he recorded one carry and gained one yard for a first down.[14] He concluded his collegiate career having appeared in every game and made 63 tackles and 1.5 sacks.[15][16]
That's always a potential problem with a mammoth weight player (even in moderately overweight players). But it's amazing how well he could move at the weight he carried throughout his college career. Colleges typically do a questionable job of nutritional and conditioning guidance. something that definitely changes once the player enters the the NFL. To his credit, he had to have significant self-motivation for his 6'6" 464lb body to attain such performance at his ProDay.......................completing 36 bench press reps, which would have been the top mark at the combine, running the 40 in 5.93 seconds, and recording a vertical jump of 25 inches. No doubt, I'd fight for a flyer on him.My concern is he is going to have difficulty lowering and maintaining his weight to play in the NFL. Someone I haven't seen mentioned is Texas RT Cameron Williams, a "dancing bear". He went from 369 as a junior, down to 335 to begin the 2024 season. I agree but also heard in the interview that he had more than one dietitians in college or maybe they said nutritionists? That might indicate a difficulty with him staying away from the fast foods. As you said, the guy really moves and seems to have a pretty good motor based on the highlight film. He is definitely worth a round six and would fill the nose spot for me.That's always a potential problem with a mammoth weight player (even in moderately overweight players). I just could not get interested in Williams for some reason. Maybe because I was not interested in him for right tackle if we still have Fisher playing there. Yeh, about where I expect. This seems to be a really deep year for OT's. How they fall in the first round will be interesting.I just could not get interested in Williams for some reason. This guy is a workhorse, think Foster. But if you're going to fix the ol and receiving corps, then they need to invest in this. Dieticians require formal special education, training, and certification. Nutritionists often are self educated and are more like life coaches, requiring no board certification. It's just like today, everyone's a personal trainer, certified or not.I agree but also heard in the interview that he had more than one dietitians in college or maybe they said nutritionists? LINKOn the 40-yard dash, Watson cleared the six second mark – coming in at 5.93.
Napier [Gator head coach] said Watson entered Thursday in good shape, noting it was a continuation of this past season when he was in the best shape of his career and played his best ball.
“He's had numerous nutritionists, position coaches, strength coaches,” Napier said. “I think he's learned a lot about habit building, self-discipline. The guy’s frame score would indicate that he's always going to be big.”
Wowser just look at the big brain on Hothy ! I'm impressed !Speaking of Watson. Since Force is equal to mass time acceleration; to generate the same force as a 464 lb DT running a 5.86 forty, a 240 LB would have to run a 3.03 40.
Not my math, but from an analytics site
More on Kyle Williams. For those who can't sit through the fantasy football stuff, skip to around 4:20Kyle Williams WR, Washington State measured hand size 8 3/4“ Senior Bowl & 8 3/4“ Combine.
Somewhat intriguing as he seems to be a great route runner, potentially a Tank replacement..............he has good YAC.............if he catches the ball. Unfortunately, from all I have seen, his small hands have been accompanied by significant dropped passes. And I wouldn't count on him to block.More on Kyle Williams. He was able to catch over 100 passes with those small hands and doesn't appear to be a body catcher. I would think he's a bigger faster version of Dell. If you want to do a deeper dive into Kyle Williams go to the 33rd team site and type in Kyle Williams. I also like Henderson, but give me KJ first! This guy is a workhorse, think Foster. But if you're going to fix the ol and receiving corps, then they need to invest in this. Love your guy though.
I'm looking for a guy that's got a different game than Mixon, Pierce to compliment them. An explosive threat to score that can be a productive 3rd down back. I'm glad they're looking at RB like Blue, Smith etc ...

I wouldn’t say take any defensive off the day 1 or 2 list. This Texans defense is loaded and has depth. I am not sure there’s a position where a day 3 draft pick can actually make the active roster on this defense. So if they want to add a youngster it’s gonna have to be with a top 100 pick.Take LB off your day 1 or 2 list. Texans are signing EJ Speed.
Here is Lance Zierlein's write-up on Kyle Williams. Very fair and has Williams as WR13 in this class, which could be between mid to late 3rd. A team might take Williams earlier if he's what they are looking for in their WR room.
Overview
Fifth-year senior with alignment versatility and home run potential. Williams will never be tabbed as “sure-handed” but he can separate deep and create big plays, which could make the catch issues easier to swallow. He eliminates pursuit angles as a catch-and-run artist and gets respectful cushions, allowing for easy comeback throws. His lack of route-running fundamentals limit his tree, but that should be correctable with work. Williams' subpar hands lower his floor, but teams looking to add a playmaker could have him queued up as a future WR3.

I would take a healthy Will Fuller for this team. Will Fuller, is that you??
I would too. But Williams has a slight build...........almost as slight as Fuller. I hope he can stand up to NFL opponents. The 2024 PAC12 was not exactly a powerhouse.I would take a healthy Will Fuller for this team.
I don’t know if anyone has taken a look at Jaydan Blue UT but speed is something that keeps the defensive heads spinning. This back has speed and a productive history. I’m thinking about making him my RB choice on my mock. I’m not sure where to list him at this time.
During his time at Texas, Blue had 270 touches, including rushes, receptions, and returns. When you look at NFL success from collegiate touches, there's almost no success among backs with fewer than 400 touches, and it gets even worse under 300.
Blue offers nothing in pass protection, and his fumble rate [ratio to touches] is well below what teams look for. While the low-end fumble rate is once every 90, Blue fumbled once every 30 touches in his collegiate career. That's the worst fumble rate entering the NFL in over 10 years, with only a few even being below once every 50. link
I don’t know if Burden is on their board for the 1st. I haven’t seen any interviews with him and the Texans.Unless Banks is there, I hope the Texans go whatever WR is still there. I like Burden, but Golden is probably the best fit.
I think they’ll package one or two picks of the Tunsil haul to maneuver around the draft board.I just cannot get into Burden for some reason. I am going to continue to push Golden/ Conerly at 25 and the other one with a trade up. Two franchise type guys almost same age.. 21 and could give 10 good seasons at prime positions.
R B in fifth like Dylan Sampson or Benjamin Martinez.
6th round DT Nose Dez Watson as I don't want to lose him even if he could fall to udfa. Round 7 the best cornerback available. All needs met and with excellent prospects.
