Defense didn't step it up until after the 4th quarter. I think I saw Fletcher starting as the other CB.

Hmmm let's do the math Defense-Faggins+Fletcher=^Defense
 
I chalk this one up to the coaching staff personally. I'm sure they even looked confused and inadequate even to the players, wich hurts your rythym and confidence.

Unfortunately handing the ball off to a guy who gets you 3 yards every carry equals a punt. 3 carries x 3 yards = 4th and 1.

He is not a bruiser. Never has been, never will be. He is a little back stuck in a fat man's body.

I don't know what dirty little secret Dayne has on Kubiak but we need a #2 RB just as bad, if not worse, than we need a #2 WR.
 
Meh. You won't win often if you can't ever stop the other team. We are not exactly designed for shootout type games

I'm sorry but even without Andre our offense still had PLENTY of opportunities to put it in the end zone....dumb play calling, dumb play, and dumb penalties killed us though...that has nothing to do with Andre.

I don't understand what Dayne has on Kubiak. The only thing that will save this day for me is if the Colts lose.

Agreed.

Any ways the season isn't over fellas. I'd expected us to go 2-2 the first 4 games. I'd just thought we'd lose to the Panthers and Win against the Falcons. I am just disappointed in how our defense looked, the DayneTrain, and whoever was calling the plays.

I just think we need to win next week if we want to prove we are a different team.

:confused: Which is why I said that awful defense and stupid mistakes means we probably still don't win even with AJ.
 
Good game!

I think Houston has a good team, and their season did not and will not end here. They could've rolled over, but for the second week in a row, they hung in there!

who's talking about 3 carries? 1 carry is what i'm talking about its 3rd and 1 on the 6 yard line, its 3rd and 1 on the half yard line. I'm not saying dayne is a starting calliber back, but for 1 yard I would run dayne up the middle any day.

We are fine at WR when everyone is healthy. We do need a better RB, though.
 
Well, so much for that!! The entire team is to blame for this loss, IMHO!! INCLUDING the questionable play calling by the coach. JMO here, but, I think we were completely out coached! Just to many mistakes to even name them all. NO excuses either. Even with our backups, we should have won this game.

As long as we have faggins covering the speed reciever, we are gonna have to put up 30 points a game to have a chance. then when smith calls a 4-3 over with a 3 wide set twice, it just makes for a really long day.

Huh? Since when have we ever had that kind of depth?

I'm not sying that the injuries cost us the game, the defense was relativly healthy; but I don't see how anybody can think that our backups are good enough to beat anybody's starters.

I disagree. The thing that has always killed me about Dayne is that very rarely does he run hard into the hole. Heck, you'd think that with that fat arse of his he could at least move the pile if he'd keep his legs churning. But he doesn't. He tends to run soft, IMO, and I just don't know if I trust him to get a tough yard because he does run so soft.
 
This offense won't score enough point if the running game is not effective. Everything in this offense comes off of the running game and today we weren't good enough. Defenisively we were on the field too long and our secondary was awful. DeMarcus Faggins got abused most of the game. Our pass rush was inconsistent. Combine all of those things with the turnovers we won't win too many games.

Chris Taylor!- that injury is really hurting us right now. I was predicting that Taylor would be the primary backup and Dayne wouldn't even make the team... Man, I wish that had worked out!
