Texans Defense = NO Turnovers

Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Rams Rookie QB from Harvard who orchestrated the comeback win against the Texans, threw 5 picks today.

The Texans have 4 ALL YEAR!! 1 of those is by backup LB Troy Evans. Another was the result of Lewis Sanders being out of position. Hey, at least he had the concentration to make the pick.

Among other things, we Need D-Lineman who can get to the QB and DBs who can make plays.

Robaire Smith has 49 tackles and. 5 sacks and Seth Payne has 33 tackles and 2 sacks. Not too bad for defensive linemen in a 3-4.

I didn't get to see the game in Austin because Austin is full of Cowferrys. Did anyone assume the leading sacker for the season role today?

Our D line played great today. We had about 6 plays where a lineman broke into the backfield and broke up a running play, very encouraging performance by the D, but we were aided by about 5 drops by the Titans receivers

Agreed, Our problem is our inside LB's. How many times do they have to get burned by the middle screeen before they pick the back-up (and I'm not forgeting how if they run up the middle, if Payne, Walker, or Smith don't get him, the MLB's will miss and it will go for at least 10 til the safties make the play).

If our "D" played great today then how come they lost the game for us this week and the week before that AND also the week before that too?

Just a little bit confused. They can play great for 55 minutes and lose in the last 5 minutes (sometimes in less than 30 seconds)

No aspect of the team can finish the game. They either give up or screw up. (Maybe a bit of both) Maybe they don't want to win. It's possible.

Check the record. Winners don't screw up when it counts.

I think that the fact the offense did not score at all in the second half lost the game.

I still think the players (most of them, not all of them. A select few) are quite capable of turning around into a great team with the proper coaching. I don't know a great deal on formations but I can tell you this.

If what you are doing right now on defense is causing you to lose, then why hasn't it changed?

This question can also apply to the other two phases of the game.
