Texans @ Chiefs - 2nd Round (And Round 2)

311d51f2d3dff557842d92da0fb8e93a.jpg

There is some cosmic stuff aligning for us. Seize it. Let’s go Texans!

In just 3 more hours, the Texans will take the field against the Chiefs.
2 premier young quarterbacks facing each other.
Watson took the game in the first meeting in week 6.
This is different.
Now, there is more on the line then anyone could have ever expected.
Today, the Texans have a chance to advance to the AFC Championship game.....against the team that abandoned Houston.
It's truly time for Watson, Watt, Hopkins, Hyde, Fells, Reid, Reader, McKinney, Mercilus, Joseph and everyone else to step up and play an epic game on the road against a very good Chiefs team.
It's time for Watson to show that winning edge that he has and snatch this game away from Mahomes and the Chiefs.
O'Brien needs to just turn Watson loose and let that wild horse run.
This is a must win for the generations of Houston fans that have experienced way to much let down and anguish.
End our pain today Texans!
Go take this game!
Prove the pundents and naysayers wrong!
Step up and win this game for Houston!

GO TEXANS!!!

NFL Network's James Palmer confirms Chiefs DL Chris Jones (questionable, calf) will play in Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Texans.
Jones sat out Friday's end-of-week session after injuring his calf late in Thursday's practice. He'll test out his calf in pre-game warmups, though the expectation is that he'll suit up for Sunday's Divisional showdown with Houston. The fourth-year D lineman logged a team-high nine sacks during the regular season while also garnering his first Pro Bowl nod.

Buffalo's pass rush was pretty damn tough and got after us. If our line plays remotely better today we have a good shot of executing our offense more efficiently. Let's just hope they step up today.

Cant start slow......

Last game KC scored 17 points in the first qtr & only 7 points the remainder of the game.

They lost.

We scored 20 points in the 2nd qtr, 8 points the rest of the game.

I'm just trying to help you out brother. Expecting the Texans to "start fast" is irrelevant. The point is to win the game. I don't care how they do it. Just win baby.

Just win.

people called me delusional throughout the whole season for saying Watson will reach the Super Bowl in his 3rd season

Deshaun in high school hurt his knee as a freshman. Two years later he won the high school championship. In college Deshaun hurt his knee as a freshman. Two years later he won the national championship. Rookie year as a Texan he hurts the knee.

Two years later???

Chris Jones just got done his on the field workout. He was wearing a sleeve on his right calf with a knee brace on that knee as well. I’m told he WILL NOT be active. They wanted to see the workout and make the call. Apparently didn’t see what they wanted.

Big Money in Vegas on Texans today...The line is moving by the hour

As badly as I would like a Titans vs Texans AFCCG in Houston, we know it ain't going to happen. The important thing is that we determine everyone who is at fault so we can gripe about it until draft time (we've got plenty to gripe about at draft time).
I ain't gping be around draft time to gripe.
There's nothing to gripe about.:hankpalm:

Yes take the Texans. Honestly his bull **** injury is something the average KC defense can not make up for. I now see the Texans destiny rolling KC much like the first game. Time of possession 40 minutes. Playing fu** basketball in the locker room area. F*** Jones. You guys are winning thje AFC Championship Today. You will roll Tenn.

We know all about injury frustrations with key players. *cough* Will Fuller *cough*

While Jones not playing is a boost to us our offense still needs to show up and our defense needs to have a plan to stop you guys. I don't see a blow out for either side but I do see a competitive game that may come down to the last couple of minutes.

No one can be assured of that...........But, Chris Jones didn't play in the October game against Texans. That game was only one of two all season in which Chiefs didn't register a sack.

What can happen since Jones is out:

If Jones couldn’t play Kansas City has several options that they could use to replace him. According to the Chiefs’ most recent depth chart, rookie DT Khalen Saunders would be the first man up to replace Jones. Saunders has four starts under his belt during the 2019 season and has appeared in twelve games total. He’s not quite the dominant force that Jones is as a pass rusher, however, he has a sack and two quarterback hits on the season.

The most likely scenario is that the Chiefs use a rotation of defensive lineman to replace Jones if he’s unable to play. Mike Pennel would likely get some play, specifically on clear run-stopping downs. Then there is Xavier Williams who was formerly a starter alongside Jones in 2018. He recently returned from injured reserve and hasn’t seen a snap since Week 5. Williams spent some time this past offseason working with pass-rush specialist Chuck Smith. We’ll see if the Chiefs choose to lean on him during pass-rushing situations.

Kansas City will have a much easier time stopping the run with this group of DTs, but interior pressure might come at a premium without Jones on the field. Look for Steve Spagnuolo to adjust by using his signature NASCAR package with four defensive ends on the field more often during clear passing downs.

Dude, if this is some kind of reverse pSycHoLoGy kind of a thing, anti-jinx thing, it ain't gonna work.... no, the chiefs gonna kick the Texans ass, Chiefs destiny, yada yada yada, Hyde 19 rushes for -5 yards, chiefs Mahomies the second coming of johnny unitias, chefs win the supper bowl!

I'd have to say a pretty amazing history. In his entire long 16 year career, I could not find where he missed any more than 5 games to injury.

************************************ Mike Adams, the man the Texans call 'Pops'

Aaron Wilson , Houston Chronicle Jan. 9, 2020 Updated: Jan. 9, 2020 10:30 p.m.

Texans safety Mike “Pops” Adams’ first NFL season was 16 years ago as an undrafted rookie with the 49ers.

The 38-year-old is the oldest player on the Texans’ roster, and the longest-tenured active safety in the league. He is a testament to durability and perseverance.

“I’m like a fine wine, baby,” said Adams, the only active player with at least 800 career tackles and 30 interceptions.

Adams’ longevity is staggering, considering that Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy were his college teammates. Adams was the defensive captain. Veach was a standout wide receiver. And Nagy was the quarterback.

“It brings back memories,” Adams said. “I’m still going. They’re waiting on me.”

I would love to see Pops make a big impact. Hell yeah. Let’s go TEXANS!!

Okay Texans don't make me have to go back to Kansas City since I just left a week ago and congratulate the Chiefs lol. I would rather stay here in Texas and celebrate your fantastic upset win.

From what I've now found out, Kelce who was just recently listed as a "knee" has a condition called Iliotibial Band (Friction) Syndrome.

1578857582352.png

The iliotibial band (“IT band”) is a thick band of fascia (a kind of hard flesh) that extends down the outside of the upper thigh. It begins on the pelvis, crosses the hip and knee, and attaches just below the knee. Pain is a result of friction or rubbing of the iliotibial band against the bone on the outside of the knee, which results in irritation of the band. This can be a fairly debilitating injury, especially early on, in so far as the pain produced by the friction is much worsened with activity. Most athletes, to treat it properly, will need significant time off for rest and rehab before return to play.............anywhere from 4-6 weeks. This condition cannot help from affecting his play to some noticeable degree the longer he plays, as it is an overuse syndrome.

Surely, everyone acting like we didn't beat these clowns this season has got to add fuel to the fire.

Doc, in your professional opinion, will this make Kelce be an even bigger crybaby whiner than he normally is?

They wrote off the Titans. This is a hype league, Pat sells. Just hope the refs are not helping him move on. With Jones out and Fuller in, pick em
