Texans #21 in final power ranking...

I think it is hilarious how the Patriots win superbowls 3/4 years, and teams like the Texans still give guys like Todd Wade and Gary Walker, 30 million dollar contracts....

I know its not easy to get players to come to the Texans for cheap, but eventually you have to realize that if they dont take a reasonable amount, then get a rookie, or a backup to do it.
 
I have sat here for 15 minutes building up the gut to say that maybe....(maybe is a big step for me to say).... that you guys did have us this year. i cant go on no more but i hope to have a COMPETITIVE two games next year. No ignorant comments to this please, it took some balls for me to say this

And yah we did have yalls number :). and if ya really think about it.. yall havent actually beat us since our first season in 2002. in 2003 when yall "shut us out" it was with our 3rd string QB and RB. and 2nd and 3rd string defense.

But whatever :). We are both teams on the rise.. lets see who can rise faster.
 
Yeah thats not bad.......We started the season at #27 or somewhere around there, and climbed as high as I think #14 after we beat Jacksonville and was at 4-3, so not bad. Hey at least we are going up and not down.
 
yah down is bad but you are a team on the rise with stars at most positions on offense and some studs on defense... just think of it as next season cant be worse then what youve had, i can say that becuase its the same with us... a couple of losing seasons will thin out the bandwagon fans and make the true fans stand out, so cheers to all that stick with your team.

We have yet to experience a winning season so I don't think there is anything to thin out. Plus a lot of us endured many lean years with the Oilers. As far as studs on defense they sure aren't on the dl. We need help bad in that area.
 
I was stationed at Jax for awhile while I was in the USMC Air Wing. My impression then was that Jax was more of a transient town than one that would have a strong core of fans. Don't know if that is still true, or not, but, as I remember, there are a ton of military bases either in or near. We often boarded the carrier at Mayport. Just thought I would make that observation for what its worth. Maybe that is why Alltel Stadiem doesn't seem to sell out on a regular basis.

yeah after having to go through PART of the oilers era, i doubt i could ever really be dissapointed with this team. I mean honestly the are improving way faster than i originally figured they would. Now our next step is to get into the play-offs that should be this years goal !
 
Those power rankings mean nothing. The Texans do not use the 'expansion' excuse anymore, and they have shown results, going from 4-5-7 in wins their first 3 seasons. And, how can they have them ranked below the Jags (6-41 vs. Hou.) & Redskins?
