Thanks NFL. Indy after a short week return from an away game and then Indy after NE.

And again, only prime time home game is Thursday.

Monday night game - after bye week. Similar to last year, Monday night game after Thursday night game. Our schedules keep sucking.

Wow, guess I'm cup is half full guy today.

I was glad to see the NFC opponents early to work the kinks out, hoping then for a big closing kick against the AFC/division oppenents that really counts.

Not a fan of this schedule at all. Best thing about it is where the bye is IMO. Texans MUST have a winning record going into the bye.

About all I have to say.

I don't think there's a single game on that schedule that the Texans just flat out can't win. The NFL definitely greased the rails for Indy this year but I expect the Texans to be much improved and we get a lot of the same perfectly winnable games they do.

I bet we sweep them for the first time this year.

Disappointed in the schedule. Lack of prime time games sucks. Like seeing the good guys on the big stage.

I hate prime time games. The Texans always crap the bed in them so I've grown to dread them. I'd prefer OB's Texans get another season under their collective belts with him before they start getting a bunch of chances to embarrass themselves before the nation.

Short weeks are tough on both teams, especially Thursday night games but they are the ones who have to travel to play us. And yea I know we didn't take advantage of it last year when we hosted the Colts. But for sure the Pats-Colts back-to-back definitely sucks.
2 PT games is about what should be expected it seems.

We've known our opponents for years, same as Indy... No greased rails here. Tonight is more about when we play who. Things liie Indy on a short week, New England in December, those things hurt.

If Indy gets New Englandnin September, I'm mad.

New England @ Indy on Oct 18 (SNF).

Flex scheduling starts the last 7 weeks of the regular season - usually around Thanksgiving...

NFL leaked or someone did indeed leak the schedule. As I went on at about a few minutes til 8PM and the schedule was on there, Voila!

1 week at a time

its funny how we play NFC south tho 3 weeks in a row

other then that we just gotta take care of bis nas

dream regular season would be the only losses I see is

@ATL

and

@indy

2 loss season 15-2 #1 seed in the AFC :kitten:

I can see their POV. They have a pretty good defense themselves and who knows what are offense will look like next year

Sure but the Panthers are terrible. First their coach is horrible, Newton makes just as many dumb plays as he does smart plays, they don't have a receiving core, and their RB's are old and often injured. I will even say their defense is over-rated. No excuse for us not to sweep the NFC South.

The 2nd biggest event on the NFL calendar is a middle aged man reading names off a 3 by 5 card, 3 hours for announcing the schedule seems in correct alignment.

I stopped watching the draft when they went to this current, 3-day arrangement. Back in the day they could finish 17 frikkin rounds in two days. As recently as 1992 they could complete 12 rounds in two days. But now it takes today's idiots 3 whole days to complete SEVEN rounds.

The 4 game stretch starting with Atlanta won't be easy. Sunday @ Atl then short week back home for the Colts on Thursday night then two straight trips back to Florida. I know it's Miami and Jax but that's lots of travel in those 4 weeks.

And I'm always interested in scheduling (televised) conflicts. This year there is only one conflict with the other team form Texas....

TELEVISION ALERT!*!*!*!*!

Week 3, the Texans AND that other team from Texas play at the SAME TIME on the SAME channel (FOX), so if you live outside the Houston broadcast area and ARE NOT going to the game, it is a safe bet to say the Texans will not be on TV that day. Sports bar or the NFL Sunday Ticket it will have to be.

Just so everyone can be prepared.

This. They broke the draft when they moved it off of a weekend and beyond two days. It's never been the same since then.

Hey everyone, hope things are going well for you all.

My son is all sorts of pumped up. After we came down there for the game last year, his Texans are coming up here for a Monday Night game. Crazy excited and we have friends coming up for it as well. Should be a good time.

We will also be headed to Indy to catch the Texans/Colts game. That will be a Christmas present right there !!!

For those talking about the Texans sucking in prime time, need not look any further than my Bengals. I hope the Broncos game last year helped get them over the hump, but historically the Bengals have sucked in the bright lights as well.

Good luck with the draft !!!

good eye on that one

Living in KC means I'll get to watch week 1 for sure. I have some friends that are Texans fans as well, and one of them is hosting a watch party. 70 inch tv and a turkey fry. There will be a lot of red jerseys, but at least I'll get to watch the Texans.

That avatar just kills me.

Houston, Texas will be the Western most city the Texans play in this season. All other games are East of the Mississippi.

And it's still just as much of a crapshoot as it ever was.

Yeah, I haven't watched the draft since they changed it either. Just completely destroyed the all day Saturday draft parties. Now, much like the schedule release where I had the whole schedule in seconds on the internet instead of sitting through a 3 hour blah, blah, blah fest about every team but mine, I'll follow the draft on the 'net while my tv will be showing The Blacklist or something.
