On a nice "prove it" deal. Im down.
2011 rupture of the musculotendinous area of the left pectoralis muscle
2012 rerupture of musculotendinous area of the left pectoralis muscle
2014 preseason partial tear of the tendon of the right pectoralis muscle

In the type of position that Orakpo plays, where his arm can often be violently pushed backwards at the shoulder. a rupture on one side is commonly followed in time with a rupture on the other side. And when a musculotendinous rupture (rupture not at the attachment of the tendon to the bone, but at where the muscle meets the tendon), a reliable repair is difficult to affect. This is in contrast to a tendon to bone repair being very reliable. I would be specifically very concerned that his right pectoralis muscle empirically remains at significant increased risk to rerupture. And his right pectoralis being at increased risk to re-injury due to probable compensating positioning (for example, in tackling, taking angles that would put most resistance on his right arm) due to chronic residual weakness of the left pectoralis muscle unit.
I'd like to see randall cobb in a Texans uni. solves slot receiver and kick return problems.
According to an interview at BR.com John Mcclain says they are going heavy after Maclin or Cobb.
Of course it is Pancakes so expect the big signing to be Hartline.

Maclin and Hopkins zipping down the sidelines with a new TE and Slot to cover the seems and the middle.
Now if we only had a QB.
Mallett can throw the deep ball as good as any !
Who's he playing for in 2015?
Yesterday, news broke that Chris Myers was released from the team. The quick assumption is that Ben Jones would slide into the role going forward. But not so fast! Myers and Jones both struggled at times during the 2014 campaign, so perhaps the Texans are seeking a veteran player from another team to anchor the middle of the offensive line.
CBS Houston SportsRadio610 is reporting:
SportsRadio 610 has learned that the Texans are close to replacing both of those positions per a source close to the situation.
No word on who the offensive lineman that might be close to signing with the Texans but there are options out there. The Texans could replace Myers with a center, or if they move Ben Jones from guard to center they can sign a veteran guard to compete with Xavier Su’A-Filo.
http://www.chatsports.com/houston-texans/a/How-Big-Will-Kareem-Jacksons-Next-Contract-Be-2-11208981Rodney Hudson is looking for record money, so he's probably not a candidate. Stefen Wisniewski is quite intriguing as a young center who had an excellent four years with the Raiders:
Stefen Wisniewski
Height: 6-3 Weight: 315 Age: 25
Friday free agency scorecard: Active negotiations today between Texans/Derek Newton and Texans/Kareem Jackson. Very possible both return.

Heres the spot you should be watching for Brian Hoyer: Houston Texans. Team likes both Hoyer and Mallett but I get sense Hoyer is target.

RT Free signed for 3 years $15 mil. Sets a price point for Newton.
Now is the season when anonymous sources = player's agents. Quid pro quo world in media.
Believe it when it happens.
If we lose Mallet and replace him with Hoyer this season takes a complete nosedive as far as my excitement goes.

Hoyer looked really decent before the injury and the Manziel ridiculousness. Could be a way to keep the QB salary in check for another year; i.e: neither Mallet nor Hoyer are worth breaking the bank for just because we don't have a QB.
76.5 rating is pretty decent to you? Fitz was 95.3 last year. And Hoyer isn't going to be any cheaper than Fitz.
NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reported Saturday that the Houston Texans are zeroing in on the veteran signal-caller as a top quarterback target, per a source with knowledge of the team's plans.
Based on what he was told, Darlington expects either Hoyer or fellow free agent Ryan Mallett to open the season as Houston's starter.
100% RT @PatDStat---> Maybe just maybe the Texans are leaking interest in Hoyer to let Mallett know they could possibly go in another direction.
Here's a possibility: What if the #Texans sign Hoyer and retain Mallett? Hoyer, Mallett, Keenum, Savage to camp.
Sounds like Houston willing to pay Newton more to stay there than Washington initially wanted to pay.
Redskins inquired on Houston RT Derek Newton, who's also in talks on new deal w Texans.
Newton signed a 5 year deal per Shef.
Take it for whatever it's worth http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/25096941/report-texans-zeroing-in-on-former-browns-qb-brian-hoyer
"The Texans are eyeing former Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer as a top quarterback target in free agency, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Media.
Hoyer played in 14 games for the Browns in 2014, throwing for 3,326 yards with 12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He lost his starting position to Johnny Manziel in Week 15...
How do you guys feel about Jeremy maclin?
Texans making run at WR Randall Cobb and Jeremy Mackin to replace Andre Johnson. Expect them to target Torrey Smith, too.
Don't b surprised if Vince Wilfork reunited with Crennel and O'Brien if price is right. He and Crennel are real close.
John McClain ‏@McClain_on_NFL
I just don't buy it on first two, and not too interested in Torrey.
More from Johnny Jam Boogie...

I don't see Texans signing big name FAs cause they have budgets on how much they value players. Teams with more cap room will overpay.
And Johnny Jam Boogie backtracks...
