Terrell Owens Thread

T.O. was just on PTI

He called Donovan a hypocrite and that he had no desire to speak to him.

Wow. That's a strong statement to make about somebody. Particularly when that somebody is the guy that is responsible for throwing you the football.

I really don't see how these guys are going to be able to coexist....and Donovan will win that war everytime.

Maybe the Eagles will be forced to do something with Terrell. Trade, make him sit, whatever. I bet they wish they'd never gotten the guy now.

yeah yeah yeah, i see the pictures, but you have to remember as of 2 days ago i don't care about t.o....didn't you see the t.o. money letters?...i just don't like the cowboys, so if i can use t.o. to make fun of them then i think me and just about every texan fan will use it. post more t.o. crap
T.O. sucks, but not as much as Dallas

Real class whoever deleted my post..

This Eagles situation is awesome..

Pinkston is out for the year.

McDougle is shot(well that's not good and I feel for the guy)but it helps our team without a doubt.

Kearse(injury boy)will probably be out before the end of the season.

TO is gone.

Westbrook and Simon are holding out..

Pretty sure Westbrook reported to camp a couple of days ago. You'll still be seeing him plenty this season. I'm really interested to see what Ryan Moats does this year for the Eagles.

yeah westy is back, and they are working on a trade for corey.
and do you really thing just because were missing a few players dallas will beat eagles? i dont think so. and dfan, are you really going to post eagles playoff loses? when was the last time you were in the playoffs?...the texans had a better record than dallas last year! but enough of the past, i know how you dallas fans are.

One good thing about Terrell...he has great taste in housing. His house is beautiful on the outside.

TO is proving that he is a freaking problem. He put on a pretty good disguise last season, and all he got from the Philly fans was love. You know how Philly fans are. That love affair is over in my opinion, and he will get booed out of town and deservedly so!

The Eagles are looking around for a trade but no one wants him. The Eagles made sure that most of the signing bonus last year was paid as a roster bonus that was counted against the cap last year. The Eagles right now are more under the cap then any other team. The Eagles have said that TO will play out his contract or sit for the year if need be. The Eagles will be fine!

The Cowboys , on the other hand, have so many problems I don't have the time to list them all.

My only problem that I have is what to do with the two TO Jerseys that were given to me on my last birthday!

I will suffer your suggestions.

I got the same problem

Even though TO is on my team's biggest rival, I must say that he has become a huge disappointment. Initially, I thought that he was more a comedian and many of his antics were just for laughs--even his Star dance. However, when going all the way back and putting all the little pieces together, the picture isn't very pretty.

Paragraph 1 of HarryJ's post answered questions I had about how the home team was reacting to this distraction and lack of sportsmanship.

The only suggestion I can come up with about the jersey is to pull a miracle and get an autograph, then save it should he make the Hall of Fame, and make a bundle off of it.

I heard both the bahamas and the falcons game. i guess it was the falcons because they showed it on espn.
I'm not hearing rumors of a trade to Packers, but it's unclear for who. I will try to find a link.
Before I make my next statement I was one of the few who didnt turn on fredex. I am also hearing rumors that freddie still speaks to andy reid and is trying to help by talking to T.O. telling him he needs to play. he also gave a great interview on a philly station, if you run across the audio you gotta listen to what a great guy he really is (despite all the bad publicity he got for "not knowing who the Patriots defensive players" were.

FredX was not only guilty of "not knowing who the Patriots defensive players were", he was also guilty of not knowing the Eagles playbook! He was always in the wrong position and when he got there his mouth was flapping! I can now say the he was one of the Eagles biggest first round busts. I remember when he first came to training camp he took to calling himself "Hollywood." What a joke! "I'd like to thank my hands."

LMBH, I'm shocked. Most of the Cowboys fans I speak to tell me that the Redskins are the Cowboys main rival. The say the Eagles are not a concern because they have never won a SB! :fishing:

That being said, as an Eagles fan, you seem to be a army of one! :ok:

What was the story about T.O. going to the bahamas? he told reporters thats where he was going but the next afternoon he was at the falcons game. he wouldn't have gone to the bahamas for dinner and left the next morning after breakfast. (especially for a guy that barely makes enough money to feed his family)

I don't know if you go to the EMB as well, but there have been many talking about "if KC cuts Fredex".
but yes, i know i am in the minority. i hate KC (2nd to dallas) because I have a friend who I talk crap back and forth about each others team, but when Freddie scores I will be cheering. I can't say the same for T.O.

Also I found a list of all drew rosenhaus clients, figured someone might be curious, and this seemed like an appropriate place to put it.

Eagles | City Councilman Wants Rosenhaus Investigated
Tue, 16 Aug 2005 13:00:45 -0700

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports a Philadelphia city councilman has sent a letter to the City's Department of Licensing and Inspections requesting an investigation into the business license and tax status of sports agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens. Frank DiCicco stated in his letter that "Drew Rosenhaus has earned thousands of dollars on the backs of our beloved Eagles. However, to my knowledge, the City has not earned a penny on the back of Mr. Rosenhaus." According to city code, any individual doing business within the City of Philadelphia must obtain a business privilege license and pay business privilege taxes. Any individual found to have not obtained a license is subject to fines and up to 90 days imprisonment, as well as the payment of all taxes and penalties.

Looks like all hell in T.O. situation has broken...yet

I think anyone that things the eagles are the wrong person in this situation is uninformed about what the problem is. I had a friend try to tell me yesterday that "It's not a problem with the contract, but the eagles did not pay him money that they said they would pay him in the contract". That was the dumbest thing I've heard. That would be a court case, not a hold out.

I've also seen that our good Friend 'the people champ' might not make KC...CAME BACK TO PHILLY!
Freddie%20Mitchell.1.jpg

I know theres not really any chance of this.

I hope this whole ordeal is straightened out because its just a distraction for the Eagle newbies and vets during training camp/preseason and everyone is sick of it.
i give most of the blame to the media for making a mountain out of this whole deal covering TO's every move and quoting every word since he hit camp. They need to just chill out and get pure football coverage i don't give isht about transactions esp. since the players are paid out the azz anyway.

funny site dedicated to T.O.

OK, so he's not speaking. But that doesn't stop Philadelphia's Terrell Owens from making a statement.

On the first play of his first game back with the Eagles, the controversial wide receiver caught a 64-yard touchdown pass. On the second, he hauled down a 31-yarder. And on the third he just missed a 28-yard score when he was ruled out of bounds.

When the half was over, Owens had a game-high five catches for 131 yards and the Eagles had a 27-3 lead. I think we just discovered what impact Owens' antics will have on his ballclub.

He may not stop talking (or start for that matter) but he can still play

Great athletes with bad attitudes make me want to renounce all sports. Terrell Owens is probably the worst I've ever seen, unless you count Mike Tyson who was just an ignorant thug. Owens is a spoiled brat. You have to remember that these athletes did NOTHING to earn their size, speed, throwing arms, catching ability, whatever. They were just born lucky--and, in many cases, lucky that their particular sport is famous. Take football for example. An individual size limit at every position for some little-man's league could render a competitive juggarnaut of entertainment. Speed, skills, it would all be there, but there'd be no 300+ lb. linemen or 6'4" receivers. Do you see what I'm saying? You could do the same thing with basketball and a 9' goal, eliminating the need or the allowance for 8' basketball players. My point is this: Terrell Owens is the best-- So freaking what???!!? It's a game. He's a grown man playing a kid's game and being really good at it does not make him freaking God! That's what the moron needs to get in his thick skull. But, then again, he doesn't have to, because he's got an entire city of Brotherly *****s to root for him on every play, when they should be kicking his sorry butt out of town. I don't know how Houston would react. I know I would stop watching football. (I can't root for the Cowgirls, regardless.)

turn your tv off for a few years.
last night was an amazing performance. it doesnt forgive him for the way he has treated the coach and team. but all those people saying "im glad he's not on my team", it makes you think twice doesnt it? and i think i probly posted some anti t.o. stuff on this board, so umm, please don't look at any of it.
but just to defend my post, all im trying to say is i think the damage he does to the team is by far out weighed by his play.

See, this is why T.O. never flinced. He knew that if he showed up and had one good game the fans would cheer for him again and you would see his jersey on fans backs at the game.

no no no, im not going out singing the T.O. song and wearing his jersey. I'm just saying that his play on the feild helps the team more than his other actions hurt the team. if there is anyone out there who thinks he hurts the team more than helps is crazy. but I still think he's an ***. my 81 jersey is still hanging up in a dark closet. The only thing that would make me the T.O. fan that i was before he caused trouble with reid and such is if he were to appologize, but :pigfly:

So you will support him during the season even after you said in previous posts that the Eagles didnt need T.O.

Fiddy said:

i stand behind that. we do not need T.O.. the eagles have some other good wr and rb, especially some good rookies. the eagles without t.o. got to the superbowl last year, and made the nfc conf 4 straight years before t.o.
as for supporting him, i can't say i will go around in him jersey, but if he scores a touchdown im sure i will cheer that the eagles put up 6, but you know it does take more than one man to get a touchdown or any yardage. McNabb is the one leading the team, any catch that leads to a touchdown started in his hands. T.O. is a nice bonus, but not a necessity.

the cowboys might even be able to win a game if they had a QB like McNabb!

Heres a question for Texan fans. If you could have an asset like owens (the good and the bad) would you want him on your team?

No. I think the Texans are trying to show that they have class as an organization, and Owens would just ruin that.
