Is anybody watching this game? TCU is struggling.....If Kellen Moore was on his game the horned frogs would already be down by like 3 TDs. Moore has missed some wide open receivers.

this kinda reminds me of last years game boise was up 10-0 or 13-0 and tcu came back and won
I would hate to play Boise State in a bowl game........they sure do have a big bag of tricks, don't they?
TCU receivers blowing it with all the dropped passes.
Texas and Bama would not wanna play these teams.
I'd rather Texas play both of these teams, than have to play Alabama.
Lol. The BCS: Where playoffs are like the Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl, never gonna happen.
Yep, sucks doesn't it.
I'm just saying......Dalton threw 3 picks tonight. Texas stuffs the run and has the best secondary in the entire country. I'd like their chances.
Andy Dalton sucks. And the coaching staff didn't help him. It almost seemed like they didn't even run the ball after the first quarter. You cannot be one dimensional against a good defense.
This is a blowout if the TCU defense isn't so good. They really only allowed Boise St to move the ball on two drives the whole game.
Both defenses were fantastic. That is what football is supposed to look like.
No, he is good in doses. Youa re dead right though and I said it above. They were actually getting 6-7 yards a pop when they ran and then they quit. It was unexplainable. When they did run they went away from the spread option and had Dalton run out of the shotgun. I hadn't seen this all year. I'm kind of stunned and disappointed they didn't show the nation what I saw all year.

That was kind of a knee jerk statement. I meant he sucked tonight. He had a great year. He's obviously not terrible.
Key stat tonight: TCU only ran 16 designed running plays all night against 47 designed passes.
If that is the style of offense you want to run then Dalton isn't the guy you want at QB. He is effective in their normal offense, but not in that crap they threw out there tonight.
Based on the playcalling, you would have thought they were down 21 points, not in a tied game.
After watching that game, my money is on Florida finishing #2 after the bowls.
Nerves or whatever, this looked like a game between two "not ready for prime time players". JMO, but I think Texas, Alabama, Florida (and probably a few others) demolishes both those teams. Too bad there's no way to know for sure :(
What a bummer for TCU. They really had a chance to make a statement here and missed the mark.
I don't buy that after 1 game. It is like the argument that UT didn't vbelogn because they looked like crap against A&M and Nebraska. TCU beat 6 bowl teams. BYU and Utah beat Oregon St and Cal in their bowls and TCU beat them by an average of 24 points or something. They had a bad game. I think against the other teams it is different circumstances and different teams.

As someone who has only watched ONE game of TCU, which was last night, color me unimpressed.
Dalton looks like a prototypical QB, but his passes seemed as if they were thrown too late, and it seemed he got in a habit of only looking for the WR named Christian when he needed first downs. When he needed big yardage gains, Dalton went to the WR named Jimmy Young, IIRC.
The running game was stuffed all night long. I do give them credit for not being stubborn by trying to force running plays that were obviously never going to work against BSU's defense. Gary Kubiak would have tried to show that he could run the ball in that situation.
I think, and this is just my opinion, that BSU had revenge on their minds. And I think TCU was a bit star-struck to be on that large of a stage. Those two factors, together, meant that TCU could not catch their breath all night long.
TCU was technically "in" the game until the very end, which I think is something they can be proud of. Jerry Hughes and that defensive line looks VERY impressive to me. VERY impressive.
Sorry you didn't see more. They had GameDay at TCU earlier in the year against Utah and that was a pressure game. That is the team that showed up all year. Running, mixing the pass and smothering defense. They killed teams and even kept killing the bad teams without let ups. In all my years growing up and going there and then post-grad this team was the most complete. Even the team that finished #7 last year wasn't as good on O.
They went away from the run too early and then couldn't get the momentum back. Dalton can make mistakes and isn't expected to throw all game. The defense did its job. It was disappointing that they picked this game to have a bad one. They beat Boise last year and I think the pressure to have to kill them to make a statement got to them. I'd still pick them easily against Iowa, Ga Tech, Cincy and others. Their D might be good against a Fla teams ground game because of their speed. But Ala and UT would be alot tougher.
Exactly. Especially when this could've helped the Mountain West obtain an automatic BCS Bowl bid down the road.

Yeah, I'd like to start watching them more than the one game I saw.
Their defense seems to be just out of this world. BSU's tackles were borderline "holding" on almost every BSU passing play. And the refs missed two or three very obvious holding calls where the TCU DEs would have sacked the Qb or destroyed the ball carrier on a few running plays.
Plus, the bogus pass interference call on TCU, when it should have been on BSU's WR, was just over the top WRONG. The TCU guy had position and was going to intercept that pass.
