Tampa Bay game

This brings up an interesting question considering the first string will probably see extremely limited action all the way down to one series or 10 plays.

Who would you like to see get extended action next game. For instance I would like to see Matt Murphy and Marcellus Rivers get more playing time this week so they can have more game action.

CC Brown, Vernand Morency, Matt Murphy, Seth Wand, Travis Johnson, and Jerome Mathis.

Won't happen, but I would like to see Ragone working with the 1st team instead of Banks because so far any veteran experience has been completely absent from Banks' play.

That actually is not a bad idea. I would also like to see a real good game from Sloan Thomas.

I think Victor Riley needs more time to show what he really has. The first to games were to limited for the starters to make any judgements, so he's only really been tested for one half.

From Rotowire via yahoo:

Update: Davis will be held out of Thursday's preseason game because of an ankle injury, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Recommendation: Davis sustained the injury in the team's third preseason game against Dallas. Head coach Dom Capers said it wasn't serious and this move is seen as a precautionary one.

Kind of a given. IMO.

I would not be suprised if Ragone were moved up to the #2 spot not because he is that good, but because Banks is that bad...

I'd like to see Tim Cheatwood, Mathis, Sloan, and Ragone. There are others too whom I'd like to check out but that is just a couple to name.

:whoohoo: It's Dave Ragone time, I can’t wait to see this NFL Europe legend lead the Texans to a Pre-season Win.

:fans:
We spend millions to see the real deal in Texas, our team should be getting ready for Sept 11. Did you see how tired we were in the 2nd quarter in Dallas, we need all the help we can get and Ragone just does not fit in to that equasion. :texflag: :texflag:

he can be the # 1 to carr. banks aint really cutting it. talk about a easy pay check. :texans: :tv:
If Banks aint cutting it, Carr played worse and with the starting line up. Do you still want Ragone.

And you base this on what? Please be more specific...

I just Faggins doesn't get burnt again. He's been pitiful this year!!!!

Faggins has had ONE bad play this pre-season . He got beat . Expected Safety help where there was none .
The play in the end zone.... Doug Gabriel just made a fantastic play where Faggins had near perfect coverage . Had he knocked the ball down instead of going for the Int we wouldnt be having this discussion .

:brickwall

I think tonights game is going to be ugly. We seem to get our tail whipped against the Bucs. Im guessing 17 to 34 Bucs.

Well, the Cowgirls' Crayton gave Petey some problems last week. Not that I'm really concerned, Faggins has proven himself over the last couple of seasons.

However, I would like to see Lewis Sanders step up his game a bit. With Dunta out, Sanders will probably matchup with Joey Galloway early in the game when the Bucs go 3 WRs.

the players i'll be paying extra attention to is sloan thomas...hopefully he has a great game and makes the team

drew hodgdon, fred weary, m. brown, pettway, chamberlin, cc brown, rags, hollings, and r. walker

It's the last game of the preseason, no one care about winning or losing in this game. The evaluation period is over.. the coaches by now know who is staying and who is hitting the road. This is just to give some people extra work. The main thing here is not to get any one injured before the opining game of the season. We are lucky if we see any of the first unit on the field tonight.

My point is that their depth is better than ours. And we should see first team for one series. Maybe 10 plays.

I agree, the main thing is to not get hurt, but we also want to play and put up some points. I just feel that the bucs 2nd/3rd team will get the best of ours.
