Takeaways from the Bucs game.

Well it wasn't pretty but we clinch.
A game we should have won by 20 on the back of all those TOs so it was frustrating and revealing.
It revealed that Watsons accuracy is off and he looks like his foot is bothering him now.
It also revealed our offense is flaccid - our oline gets pushed around by decent Dlines and we have no short passing game to bail Watson out.
The D is a strange mix of good and bad - continually shooting themselves in the foot surrendering 1st downs on 3rds, but today they were a bunch of ball hawks forcing two fumbles and snaring 4 ints. The pass rush is a little on the weak side.
Texans just aren't quite there yet and I blame the coaching.
I'll turn it over.

My first take away is the LWW pattern is some serious strong juju. It can overcome a bad game plan, bad adjustments & bad QB play.

I honestly can't remember the last time I felt this disappointed after a huge win. We actually clinched the division today and I feel less optimistic about our playoff chances than I did before the game.

The idea that the Texans are breaking out the division winner caps & tee shirts in the locker room made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Defense won this game for us. They came out ready to play while the offense came out lethargic, no energy and tried their best to give this game away.

This is by far Watson worst performance. Looks like he got down on himself early on and never recovered. He was too busy fussing at his receivers.

Bill Obrien play calling was very suspect again. I'm still trying to figure out why didn't he challenge that spot . Then instead of going for it, he punts. Good thing our defense were up for the challenges.

Special teams played excellent today.

Ugly win . Should've been a blowout. But hey we won and the Divisional title is ours again.

Side note: Fuller has to go, the youngster just can't stay healthy.

I was watching the TEs blocking today. How in the world can such physical specimens struggled so much to block someone in front of them?
Only fells was known to be a good blocker. Akins is basically a wr
......b/c OB has never hired a single coach who has a clue or knowledge in regards to teaching both blocking or chipping techniques.

1) Fantastic play calling beginning to end.
2) Watson accurate and lethal.
3) Hyde can't be stopped.
4) Duke recieving out of the backfield...
6) New defensive backfield is explosive.
7) Reid is a ballhawk.

What a solid win to wrap up another AFC South championship. I think we can literally waltz into the SuperBowl...who gonna stop us?

Is what should have happened. Instead, the Bucs tried to lose and the Texans did everything they could not to let them....but failed with 28 seconds left on the clock.

My takeaway is we have no right being in the playoffs and we will be bounced immediately
That's bullshit right there. How can a logical mind claim they have no right to be in the playoffs when you have a whole organization who has gone through the injuries, the hits, the practices, the media, the psychological pressures and the victories to sport a 10-5 record right now?

They don't have the right? Crap post of the season.

I hope you never aspire to grow in your job, a relationship, as a person, or have children, because according to this logic any natural failings you have as a human being should negate any rights you may have to succeed above your current station.

Really, who gives a F—K!!!! So you get a cute little banner at NRG. AFC South Championships don’t mean anything, that tells me everything I need to know about Bill O’Brien.

And for the record it does matter what today’s game looked like. You ain’t the Patriots bro, you think Bellichek is OK with a sh!tty win, hell no. It would be one thing if they weren’t constantly flat. That’s a losers mentality.

AFC Champions give me a f-ing break.....

Don't cuss at me Jam. A joke is simply a joke. I've been a fan from the beginning, even made your Avatar on the old board. Don't let the mood of this board disrupt your normally optimistic outlook.
You're right. I know you're a fan. But come on. After a tough win against a really good team, these guys are going insane. Winston is a really good quarterback who can break a game wide open in an instant and the Texans defense held him down. I'd say that's some pretty good stuff but the negative Nancies on this board can't look beyond their own arrogance and hatred to see that this was a really good win to take the division and get into the playoffs.

SOS (Same Ol' Shite) OB.....let's see if you're this cocky after the first round.
Just thought about this.....hey OB, I'll help you with your speech after the first playoff game, "hey guys, this one's on me......I've got to have them better prepared.....ugh better yet, I've got to coach better.....yeah, this one's on me"

You dont need to write anything for him. It's the same bs he's been spewing for years.

He's saying that they have to focus on the playoffs. He's right. Moreover, he doesn't look to happy about today's win, knowing that it'll be a hard row to hoe to make a dent in the playoffs.

I don't care much for BoB, but yeah, hes thinking about how to operate the next game, while looking ahead to the post-season.

Hey I get it. The mood here gets us all after a while and is infectious. In the end, we let this game be way more stressful than it needed to be, but you are right. A win is a win.

My take away? The Texans won against a very explosive offense.
The defense slowed Winston enough for Watson to beat him. Enough said.
I hear you JamTex.
Thing is it would seem some folks around here have become so jaded that there aren't in the least bit pleased that the Texans won 10 games
vs. a pretty challenging schedule, and another AFC division title, and will host a WC P/O game in a couple weeks and a have those two weeks to rest everybody.
Ok we definitely got some breaks in the game with famous Jameis being in a very chartible Christmas mood and all but when I think back to the season opener in NOLA that we could have so easily won if not for anyway, whatever.
We are still in it, time to pop the top on a couple brewskees and celebrate right now and look forward to the POs.

I heard Clint Stoerner on 610 Radio say that the first goal every season is to win your division & he is right. Pretty or not we can't argue that the Texans did it. I'm as guilty of over looking the positive for the negative as the next person.

So I'm going to go with the glass is half full & say that you sure as hell can't do anything in the playoffs if you aren't in the playoffs.

We made it & we have a good young QB leading the team (even if he was off today). So I'm going to do my best to look at the bright side.

I despise Clint but cant argue with that.

We could have won the division and tried to get closer to the second seed. Instead OB didn’t do a good job in the Denver game.

They almost lost a game that looked like both teams sucked, but one team had more excuses because they were missing key players.
