Take two Jets 1sts for our #1?

I really don't think we could afford that financially. We'd have to sign 2 first rounders, plus a second, and 2 thirds. That will kill us for about the next 3 years

The only kind of "Godfather Offer" will have to be more like what Ditka gave up for Ricky Williams (don't forget that Casserly pulled that one off). I just don't see that happening. Besides, all those picks would be kind of pricey...

I know. Maybe if they offered #4, #29, and their second rounder and that's still a big if.

No, this is not even close on the draft pick value chart (#1 = 3000 pts, #4 + #29 = 1800 + 640 = 2440 pts.) The only way I'd consider this is for us to draft Bush, then if Mario falls to the Jets at #4 and they take him then we can send them Bush for Mario and #29, then I'd do it. Without guaranteeing we get Mario in return, I'd have to get the #1, #29, next year's 1st and 3rd.

I agree. The Jets 2nd 1st rounder is kinda low. I would want at least another 2nd or 3rd rounder. Look at what the Chargers got for Manning. We shouldn't take less than that.
 
Not enough, the Jets would have to include with the first rounders this years
second or next years first. That would be a very potent package to offer the
Texans. Would it be enough ?
I dunno....is another potential hometown backlash about passing on VY a second time after moving down an obsticale to trading the #1 ?
 
First of all WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS?

They are getting probably a player who can give more impact at 4 than we are getting #1....mainly b/c our #1 will have to split carries/kr/catches with 3 other people.

I still like bush but find us drafting him to be completely :confused:

Three way trade involving Jets, Broncos and Falcons. Falcons didn't want to trade the 15th pick for John Abraham, so they brought the Broncos into the mix. They got a couple of mid-round selections (believe it was a 3rd this year and 4th next year) and took the Broncos 29th selection in exchange for the 15th selection. That 29th selection was used to finalize the Abraham trade. Make sense?
