Surprise team...

Every year there are 1 or 2 teams that surprise everyone with their success. Last year the Panthers, Bengals, and yes- even the Cowboys were the surprise teams. Who are the surprise success teams this year? (they don't have to go to the playoffs but just be more successful than most would think)

Also, every year there is are 1 or 2 teams that are a bust. Last year the Bucs and Raiders fell apart from their Super Bowl season the year before. Who are this year's bust teams?

Improved: Chiefs, Falcons

Falling: Dolphins, 49ers

Team that will be favorite for SB: Pats again

Yep. The 49ers are certainly rebuilding. I'm not even sure who their QB is since Garcia is gone.

I think the 49ers would be great with a good QB.

WR Brandon Lloyd/Rashaun Woods/Cedrick Wilson/Curtis Conway

I think woods is a big time sleeper.

Breakout teams: Falcons, Texans, Chargers, Bucs (Turn around from last season's embarrassment)

Busts: Titans (McNair can't be superman forever), Rams continue to decline, Chiefs

Super Bowl teams: Eagles vs. Pats (Brady finds a way to win)

Hm, I don't see the Cowboys bein bust. Vinny or especially Drew Henson would be a better QB, now they have 2 better RB's, their o-line is better. Their D is better in my opinion, Pete Hunter should be better than Mario last year, and Donald Mitchell is back along with some rookies. 49ers are gonna be terrible this year, sorry. Too many young people at the WR position. They'll have big games, but won't be consistent enough. Falcons are capable of bein the suprise team altho its no suprise, cause they diden't have Vick last year. Many teams could be the suprise team, you never know. The only team I see as a for sure, not gonna change, is the Patriots, cause if anything, they got better. I think Tampa will suprise some people, even with the loss of Lynch and Sapp and Johnson, I also do not see the Eagles winning the superbowl even with Kearse and T.O. - They got two 2nd year players starting at corner with a rookie in the nickelback, it won't be lk having Taylor/Vincent and those 2 as the nickelbacks, so I see that as a bit of a weakness. Texans need Carr to step it up this year, if he does they will definately be playoff potential, it's all on his shoulders, hes got the weapons, they got some experience, time to earn those big bucks. My sleeper for the year to make it close to the superbowl is the Ravens :)

rise: bears, cards, texans
falling: fins, 49ers(way down), and giants

my pick for superbowl apperance...ind vs gb...packers win...farve retires

UP:
Houston – It took 3 years, but the Texans now have legit NFL starters at every position. Talented roster with an overachieving mentality that can make a 4-5 win leap this season.

Atlanta – New head coach Jim Mora, Jr. should bring a Falcon defense back to respectability. New O-line coach Alex Gibbs will work wonders for struggling line. Oh, and Mike Vick is healthy. The new WCO with rollouts & moving pockets is tailor-made for Vick.

Down:
Miami – Dolphins were looking at a down year before Ricky’s defection. 2 backup QB’s will “battle” for the starting spot. O-line is a pending disaster. The defense has talent, but is beginning to show wear. Stud DE Ogunleye may sit out much of the season in a contract dispute. Could wind up with a top 5 draft pick in the ’05 draft.

Dallas – Vinny, Eddie, & Keyshawn would have made a great set of triplets…about 5 years ago. In ’03, Dallas went 8-2 against teams with losing records, 5-1 in the NFC Least. Won’t happen again. They did it with mirrors last year. This year, the mirror is “cracked”.

lol, out of every single fan here you hate Dallas the most. We'll see who goes down next season, we'll see

I don't think the Cowboys are going to change much from last year. They might not make the playoffs or be as successful as last year, but Parcells will keep them winning and in the running for a playoff spot- it's what comes with having the 2nd best coach in the league (2nd behind Belichek...spelling?).

NOW, however.... BOTH are in Houston.

What time is it???? Oh yeah....19 to 10 lol:

Well if you look at it, which team is the best all-time. Cowboys by far, but this year? It's pretty even...
