Super Bowl Predictions...

Who you guys got this year??

My football mind says Patriots - Saints

My eyes want to see Steelers - Saints

The Vikings have a good team but I don't think Keenum is the guy to win these types of games for them.
The Falcons are just too damn inconsistent.
The Rams are really good, but again, the QB scares me.
The Panthers, meh....
And the Eagles have been playing lousy the last couple of weeks. and no Wentz.

The AFC? Patriots / Steelers.

Steelers / Vikings would be fun to watch. Bring back the old days of the Purple People Eaters and the Steel Curtain....

To Hell with Pittsburgh. I want to see the Chiefs and Case Keenum's Vikings.

The NFC is clearly up for grabs. Wouldn't surprise me if Atlanta got hot and made a run. The Saints are certainly capable, and I think the Vikes have a better than decent shot. Philly would be there too if they had Wentz but they may not get past the A-T-L next week.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone in the AFC has enough to beat the Pats, but I'll be rooting for them over the Jags, Titans and Steelers all day any day.

A Brees/Brady SB might be entertaining, but I'm rooting for Case. Go Vikes!

Out of the eight teams left, the only one I'd bother to watch the super bowl for is the Vikings, and only because I'd like to see something nice happen for Keenum. Other than that, I don't care. I think I'd puke if the ******* Pats win another super bowl. Jesus Christ, anybody but the Patsies again, I'm already having a bad off season.

So both AFC South entrys made it to the divisional round next weekend so this isn't the weakling division for awhile atleast. I'm still really surprised that the Chiefs blew that
lead in the second half last night.

You want the Pats? np good choice in ADC, can't go Tit's or Jag's, but I hate the Steelers and the Pat's too

Want the Pats to lose somewhere. Brady throws some epic fits.

I hate the Steelers from my Dallas days.

Rather the Vikes or Falcons win over either.

I'd like to see a Vikings-Steelers rematch of Super Bowl IX.

Of course this time I'd be rooting for Case Keenum which is tough as the Steelers are like my official "fallback when the Texans suck again" team but I couldn't resist wanting to see him win a ring.

who you think or who you want?

I don't mind, either, but would like to see the Vikings and Keenum win it all, especially being a first for the franchise and in their own stadium.

That said, I think it could be another Patriots year, and I don't mind that, either. I remember a time, about 15 years ago, when we were told by pundits and 'experts' that a football dynasty would be impossible in this day and age of free agency and salary caps. Then along comes the Patriots.

That said, if Brady wins no. 6, I hope he just does a mic drop and walks away a champion. Nobody is going to touch that record for a long, long time. . .if ever.

Well, if any of you all had the Tacks and Jags in the divisional round at the beginning of the year, you owe everyone a beer. because you made some money.

The Chiefs crapped the bed. And has anyone seen a worse game than the Jags/Bills game? Good Lord that was crap. Both the Tacks and Jags will get boat raced this coming weekend.

My Saints pick is still in. Worried about Atlanta getting hot and getting back. a rematch of last year isn't far fetched.

I'm a little tired (more than a little) of hearing from the east coast media how our division sucks and those AFC South teams don't stand a chance against the mighty Patriots or the dreaded Steelers. I hope both the Pats and Steelers lose. Big.

As far as the SB champ, either the Vikes or the Saints would work for me.

Ya, I hear you about the media polishing the poles of the Pats and Steelers. But do you really think either AFCS team stands a chance? The Jags, maybe in a perfect storm scenario. Bortles isn't leading the Jags to a victory and I doubt Ben chucks 5 picks again.

I just don't see it. Not from either team. Good to see both teams from the AFCS advance beyond the WC round though.

My UH blood is going for Case.

Same here. But even if I weren't a UH guy, I think I'd be pulling for the Vikings. They have had some rough luck over the years with the playoffs and Super Bowls, the game is in Minneapolis, and I am so fkn tired of the Patriots. Don't like the Eagles or their fans, can't bring myself to root for an AFC South team, hate the Steelers, indifferent on the Falcons, and the Saints would be my #2 choice.

Yeah I'm pulling for the Vikings as well. I remember I wanted them to go to the Super Bowl when Favre was there.

If they don't make it then I'm pulling for the Saints.

Outside of being division rivals, is there really any reason to not want the Jaguars? I don't think they a chance but I would prefer them over the alternatives in the AFC.

Outside of being in the division not really... it would be better than the Tit's or Dolts

I don't know why but I just think they're literally going to have to drag Brady away, probably kicking and screaming and brandishing a knife. I think the guy has an entirely one-track mind (not saying it's a bad thing) and he's got the ultimate career that many men dream of. He's the star QB of the best NFL team in the league and he's never going to willingly give that up. If 5 rings haven't quenched the fire inside of him for more games, more seasons, and more rings then I don't think anything will.

When he's finally shown the door he will be someone to pity because I don't think he'll ever be whole again without the game.

Yep, I tend to agree. He will probably have to have that one really crappy season to show he's mortal before they drag him off the field for one last time.

There's just something to the way Elway did it after winning back-to-back. Lasting impressions, legacy, and all that jazz. He was always an Oilers nemesis so I hated him for awhile, but once the Oilers died and I could enjoy the NFL without a team, I really appreciated Elway and what he brought to the game.

Don't forget what he's missing time with at home:

Every reason to quit and not a hint of inclination to do it.

I would like to see Brady and/or Belichick try to make it without the other. Are they two 10s that would succeed anywhere or two 8s that add to 20? But I suspect they retire together.

I think Belichick is the 12 to Brady's 8. There may not be 5 people on the planet combined who know as much about the game as Belichick does. That absolutely doesn't mean he can walk on to another team and be successful, because that's simply not how it works. It's also impossible to separate them at this point, who would Brady be if he were drafted by the Aints? Would he have worked himself to a starting role or be lost to obscurity? More likely than not (IMO), someone else would be 'Brady' following Bledsoe and there would be a different dynasty quarterback.

It's an interesting question that could be asked about many coaches and QBs.

Where would Bill Walsh be without Joe Montana, and visa versa?

Tom Landry and Roger Staubach?

Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr?

JMO, but there are some coaches that transcend all that like Tom Landry, Lombardi, Shula, etc. I tend to think Belichick would fall in here, but then there's his Cleveland example to undermine it. Maybe he just didn't get enough time in Cleveland? I'm not sure Landry would have been allowed to stick around until he found success in today's day and age of immediate gratification culture.

I'm expecting the Patriots to beat the Vikings in the Super Bowl...but I don't want to see that happen. At this point, the Pats dynasty has become boring to me. I want to see someone else hoist that trophy.

Of the remaining teams, I think I have the most affinity for the Vikings because they have Keenum but for me, in any sport, when there aren't any Texas teams playing, it's hard to get excited.

I no longer doubt that Brady is experiencing a significant Achilles problem.........possibly even a prodrome for rupture. In week 11, he sustained an Achilles injury and appeared on the week 12-15 Injury Reports. He then disappeared from the Injury Report (Achilles problems don't disappear without extended rest). Watching his play, he is not stepping into his throws, probably because he can't. This would account for his glaring drop off in Brady's performance since this injury compared to the 10 games before his injury, especially in attempts for longer passes. I am not expecting his performance to be Bradyesque during these playoffs, despite the rest period of the playoff Bye.

Several mitigating factors including WR-OL-RB injuries, Gronk’s suspension/Week 17 bubble wrap and December elements, but this is a severe downturn in Brady’s deep passing, via @NFLResearch

Father time is undefeated.

God'ell did Brady a favor by suspending him for 4 games last yr. He was fresher for the playoffs.

So now the Pats' opponents will just die the long, slow, painful death......

Well, there went my SB prediction.....

your 4 starting QB's for the Championship weekend,
Foles
Keenum
Bortles (somewhere Texian is doin a dance)
Brady

Who woulda thought!?

NE wins tomorrow unless Bradys reported hand injury is for real in which case Jags in the SB.
I'm afraid Case & Vikings lose on the road & outside, but sure hope I'm wrong about that.

Depends on what kind of game Bortles has.

I think I'm taking the under in the Minny/Philly game. That game will come down to turnovers and will Foles (Who can play well at times) has a good game or whether he throws 3 Int.'s. I believe Case will play well enough to win and Foles is a turnover machine. Give me the Vikes.

Pats vs Vikings. I'm rooting for Case as SB MVP.

Pats win it all again. Tom Brady with one hand is still better than the other three quarterbacks left in the playoffs. No disrespect to Blake Bortles, Case Keenum and Nick Foles, but even Deshaun Watson is better than all of them! I can't help but think if Deshaun had stayed healthy would we be playing in the conference championship game?

Brady's hand injury story is morphing as time goes on. Initial reports were that his hand required 4 stitches. Now.......

Mike Reiss(@MikeReiss)
Some additional context/information: On Tom Brady, he required more than 10 stitches after sustaining a cut on the inside part of his right throwing hand near the thumb Wednesday, per source. Those at practice described a bloody scene.
