Interesting that two of the best players were rookies from both teams - Worthy for the Chiefs and Dejean for the Eagles.

Last night’s Eagle stomp down of the Chiefs was almost the therapeutic patch I needed for a season of some disappointing games played by our boys. I still believe that this past season was part of the growing pains of a burgeoning and maturing team that next year should give the indication if we’re heading the right direction or not.

I’m gonna be extra good this year so Santa will give me my Christmas wish of a newer and improved OL for CJ and Company.

Can you tell us what bad habits you are going to give up to get on this good list?

Adds were meh, but the halftime show seems like it was aimed at one demographic and was terrible.
If the NFL wants to attract a broader audience, then they need to appeal to a broader audience.
Put on an actual "show"! Not some artist most Americans have never heard of!
My news apps were in agreement that Lamar used his time in the public eye in his ongoing battle with the performer Drake. Lamar sang about Drake being a pedophile and liking the young ones. I am pretty much open to listening to any type of music at least for a bit. However, I do not want to get caught up in a battle between groups in any genre that I don't understand the issues anyway. Just seeing some music that I can move to or sing along with.

Samuel L Jackson seemed like he was trying to remain revelant and hip. One survey was overwhelmingly displeased with the halftime and the ads and adding in those that just turned it off or ignored, it was close to 90% if I remember correctly.

Yes.. That Prince show was ranked #1.. I found out Jay Z's company signed a contract with the NFL in 2019 and apparently he gets final say on the halftime show. Given all the rumors surrounding Jay Z in the freek off/P. Diddy mess, I think it'd be in the NFL's best interest to end that partnership pronto. Just looked it up, the NFL renewed it's contract with Jay Z in 2024 before the allegations started coming out. Idiots. Roger Goodell has got to go, it's time for a new league leader.
I was stunned that Jay Z was in the audience. I expected he would take his cash and stay home. Beyoncé was not there or at least I did not see her.

I have posted this before but statistically speaking the defense seems to be as important as the QB in SB wins. Out of the last 10 SBs the team who's defense allowed the fewest points in the regular season are 9-1.

Winners are in bold font.

2015: Broncos PA:296 - Panthers PA:308
2016: Patriots PA:250 - Falcons PA:406
2017: Eagles PA:295 - Patriots PA:296
2018: Patriots PA:325 - Rams PA:384
2019: Chiefs PA:308 - 49ers PA:310
2020: Buccaneers PA:355 - Chiefs PA:362
2021: Rams PA:372 - Bengals PA:376
2022: Chiefs PA:369 - Eagles PA:344 *
2023: Chiefs PA:294 - 49ers PA:298
2024: Eagles PA:303 - Chiefs PA:326

* team with more PA won.

I guess even in this age of the QB the old saying that defense wins championships is still true.

Texans have a really good defense. Now is the off-season to build the other side to compete.

This makes no sense. There’s always gonna be a target demographic that turns off others who don’t listen to that particular music. I don’t listen to Tom Petty…yes I know who he is as a legend and everything, but at the time he performed I would’ve had no interest in hearing his music…. or a Katy Perry or a Rhianna for that matter.

Difference is if you're listening to T. Petty, regardless if you like him or not, you can at least understand what the hell he's saying/singing.. I don't know if there were mike issues regarding the television broadcast or if Kendrick was under the weather, but you couldn't understand a damn word coming out of his mouth.. it was a crap show. Even hip hop fans are saying it, so demographics don't really come into play here.. It was just a train wreck. If you weren't a huge Kendrick fan and already didn't know what the lyrics were before hand you wouldn't know what the hell he was saying/rapping.

And there isn't "always one demographic".. . Most of these shows they mix and match artists.

Unlike others I liked the half time show, ima fan of k.dots music so that's probably why
So you were all up to date with the bickering between him and Drake and the pedophilia claims? These type of feuds and there have been several over the years, sort of remind me of the Hatfield versus McCoys. Unless you know it allegedly was over the theft of a pig, all you know is their bullets flying through the air. In this case I didn't even know that the bullets were flying. Also, is the Super Bowl Halftime really the place for a squabble? When does Drake get his opportunity to respond?

lol, yes there is. Not everyone likes rap..so if the main guy is a rapper, they’re already turned off. They’re not gonna put someone on stage that’s not a performer and that’s not gonna move around and entertain. people are gonna complain no matter what. That’s all social media is these days.

Where I was at at the brickhouse tavern EVERYBODY was jamming out to him. & the songs he performed…Most of which were nearly10 years old, are well known..1 of those songs was used for the 2017 nba finals.

I don’t even follow hip hop that closely anymore but unless you’re completely out of the loop on hip hop, everybody and their mother knew of the drake & K-dot beef.

Agreed, but if you think there's a difference making DL/DB out there then that should be the pick.
I just cannot automatically agree with that. You take Jack Sawyer when you have Anderson and Hunter? Or Princely Umanmeilen?

Sawyer at 25
Alfred Collins 58
Andrew Mukuba 89

Are difference makers and I would love to have them on my team but does that fix our problems on offense?

Didn't see the halftime show.

We threw a party and I was going around visiting guests during halftime.

I read that Kendrick sucked. (Not a fan of his)

I was at the Brickhouse Tavern on Saturday for lunch. I great place to sit outside, have lunch and a craft beer or a mimosa. They've got some really good craft beers.

I wouldn't be against this if they picked an OG like Jackson at 1-26, added Robinson/Atwell/Noteboom in FA. (Guys that already know Caley's system)

Then draft

1-26 Jackson
2- 58 Darrius Robinson, who I've got rated above Collins, although I like Collins alot.

3-89 Makuba, who I love, I've got him behind Starks as a late 1st/early 2nd rd guy. The internet scouts are late to the party when it comes to Makuba. Guy can play.

lol that’s the surprise of the century…not

Even if you muted it there was nothing visually appealing by the stage set/production.. One of the most bland, most boring, and worst halftime show I have ever seen by far. It's the Superbowl.. the entire world is watching and THAT was the best show they could put together!? That was embarrassing. They better bring it next year.. Kendrick and the NFL are being killed on the Internet right now over that performance. That show sucked.

I liked this comment.
I didn't watch a second of it either.

Emmanwori, Watts or Mukuba would look good on this team.

I know the halftime shows bring in the eyeballs and that equals money to the NFL so it's never going away, but I just don't give a crap anymore. About the halftime show, who's singing the anthem, the commercials, none of it. After Prince, nobody was ever gonna live up to that anyway. I just want to watch football. All the rest is just a distraction to appease people who don't watch football.

Go back to marching bands or hot air balloons crashing into the stands for all I care. I just don't have any interest in it. It's all going to be AI soon anyway. Actors and musicians will soon be no more.

This is me in a nutshell.

Halftime is bathroom break and then dessert for after the meal.

Yup and Jesus it's not that deep lol I'm surprised that k.dot sang "not like us"......but I guess it's too much of a hit not too

I'm talking about a show show - not necessarily a musical artist. There's plenty of other entertainment media available.

Never heard of them, but I'm willing to youtube their music to see if I like it
Mega cowboy western actors with old movies and TV series still to be found on several stations. It was more of a joke but the good guy always won. Roy Rogers was as big if not bigger than John Wayne.

They did call it. It was post fumble so the Eagles still kept the ball.

(9:51 - 4th) (Shotgun) P.Mahomes sacked at KC 20 for -10 yards (M.Williams). FUMBLES (M.Williams) [J.Carter], touched at KC 19, RECOVERED by PHI-M.Williams at KC 18.PENALTY on PHI-M.Williams, Unsportsmanlike Conduct, 15 yards, enforced at KC 18.

That was Carter just flat out saying "take this you turd!" Game was over and he was tired of all the Mahomes / Chiefs talk I'm sure. Far as I'm concerned a well spent 15 yards!

Swifties are apparently review bombing the restaurant owned by CJ Gardner-Johnson's mom, as well as making false reports to ICE. Classy

I’m a culturally Deaf person and even I know who Kendrick Lamar is. Maybe try going outside a little more?

BTW… I liked the show. I do wish there was less of a personal vendetta with the feud but the show itself… I thought it sent a great message.
