Super Bowl commercials

I liked the Diet Pepsi commercial with PDiddy. The Fed Ex/kinkos commercial with burt reynolds was pretty good too.
 
The beer commercial with the guy jumping out of the airplane for the 6 pack got the greatest response at our party.
 
I missed a lot of commercials in the first half since I was trying to watch the game and play dominoes at the same time. However, I thought the one with the cat spilling the spaghetti sauce and little Deion with the big jeweled "D" were LOL moments. Also honorable mention to the Pepsi party truck.
 
Best commercial was the one where the guy got home to fix dinner for his wife (or was it his girlfriend?) and the cat tipped over the pot of (what looked like) spaghetti sauce. She comes in and it looks like he's in the process of slaughtering the cat. I don't even remember what they were advertising but I laughed at that one.

I also liked the Mustang commercial about not releasing a convertible in the winter. That wasn't bad. Overall they were pretty low key though.
 
I thought most of the Bub commercials were pretty good, better than last year. I liked the one with the baby kliedsdale (sp.) The cat in the spaghetti sauce was for Ameriquest, and I probably laughed at that one the most.

The absolutely WORST was the "mamas boy" commercial. AWFUL!

My very favorite though was Anheuser Buschs "Thank You" to the troops. Got a few goose bumps with that one.

Boxscore! We all know why you liked the tabasco commercial so much! :heh:
 
The chimp commercials were cute, but I agree with Hervoyel and LMBH about the cat and spaghetti sauce. That was too funny!
What were they advertising anyway? :hmmm: I have no idea.

best one had to be where they are skydiving and the pilot jumps outta the plain for the beer, but other than that i didnt think they were near as good as they usually are !
 
My favorites were the Pepsi Commercial (Trucks becoming the new SUV) and the Budweiser Commercial (Skydiving). I also enjoyed the commerical honoring the Armed Forces (applause as military personnel walk through the airport).
 
i think the best commercial, or the one that got the best response at my party was the Bud commercial i think, where two guys were at the stadium, and took a pic of themselves with the great seats, and sent it to their friend who gave them the seats... then the friend takes a couple pics of the guys apartment, his beer, and his girlfriend...if you know what i am referring to...i thought it was pretty darn funny... the cat and spaghetti was pretty good too
 
i was sad not to see Terry Tate(SP?) commercial as the office lineback or whatever he was... i loved seeing those hits he laid, classic
 
The last one for the kinkos commercial was "bonus footage" or whatever.. it was the bear talking to burt afterwards.



The commercials were terrible this year. Worst ones ever. there were no real gutbusters.. I laughed at the cat.. and I laughed at the beer out of the plane. but that was it.. it was bleh.. and everyone at my party was complaining about it.
 
I loved BOTH the Ameriquest commercials. Their slogan being something along the lines of "We won't rush to judgment".

The first one (which it looks like many missed) featured a guy in a convenience store talking on his cellphone via a headset. As he gets to the cash register, his phone conversation causes him to respond with "You're being robbed"....As the store owner looks up into his video monitor, the guy repeats You hear me, you're being ROBBED!". Hilarity ensues as the owner maces the guy and hits him with a baseball bat, then the owner's wife comes around the corner with a shock prod and starts zapping him!

That one, combined with the guy who ends up holding the tomato sauce dripping cat, while holding a butcher knife in the other hand, gets my vote for an effective one-two punch! :rofl:

I'm not sure what number they were, but there was "Attractive Females" and "Kick to Groin" as part of the 10 things you need in a successful super bowl commercial list.
 
godaddy.com, I never heard of it before but will not be forgetten for along time .I am not sure how it passed the prescreening.

As you may have noticed our Super Bowl ad only appeared during the scheduled first quarter spot. It was scheduled to run also in the second ad position during the final two minute warning. Our ad never ran a second time. Instead, in its place, we saw an advertisement promoting, of all things, "The Simpsons."

The past few years the SB commercials really went down.. I miss those Budweiser frogs / lizards back then.


My fav one this year was CareerBuilders.com (MOnkey one)
