- the latest Carr rumor is that there will be some sort of a package deal with the Detroit Lions to move up and secure that #2 pick, where they will draft Joe Thomas. the main reason is related to Spencer's leg injury.

- if they stay at #8, there's two big names the texans are targeting: Levi Brown and Alan Branch.

- Kevin Kolb is huge on Houston's radar, no question about it.

I just don't think that Carr+#8=#2; and Rick Smith has repeatedly said that we won't be trading away draft picks...maybe Carr+#8+the 2nd rounder=#2 and teh Lions 3rd, but if they are trageting Kolb also I'm not sure tey won't to deal their 2nd rounder.

yeah, I mean, how does a person continue to have secret inside sources if they are going to out them? I don't understand why people think that you will just name them if you even have one to start with.

I just got word that Carr is traded to Dallas...per my sources. His name starts with Bob and ends with Nair. yeah.

I would give up #8 + Carr + 5th-7th round picks for Thomas. It would be miraculous to finally have that LT hole filled up.

Absolutely no truth to this rumour. You probably did not hear, but we signed Jordan Black yesterday and that gives us 4 tackles (3 healthy). Why in the world would we want Thomas. Now Stacey Keibler? She can tackle me anytime.

Yeah we have 4 tackles and none are as good as Thomas...we also have 6 Rb with none being as good as Peterson...we also have 4 S with none being as good as Landry or Nelson...so what's the point again?

wow, 3 average tackles on short term deals and 1 who's injured? how could you even think about drafting OT with that wealth of talent.

No one is saying the Texans would not take a good hard look at Thomas we are just saying "your insider" or whatever "source" of info is BS.

I could play the "I heard this" stuff and maybe I am right maybe I am not.

All I know is what KubiAg and Smith have said to the media and nothing more, my guess is your in the same boat.
 
If we move up - it will cost picks. I just don't see Carr having that much value (or any other player we would part with).
I think Kolb goes low 2nd/top 3rd. So, if we swapped our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Carr for Detr's 1st and 3rd - we would get Thomas and have a little better shot at Kolb.
But, that is probably not enough value to move that far (unless Carr is worth the last pick in the first round according to draft pick value chart). And, losing that 2nd rounder would hurt (I see that as our FS of the future)

The tradeup rumor with Wash to target Quinn might happen. The "value" to move up those two spots is a mid 3rd. Unless we are happy with Adams/Anderson, moving up to at least 6 makes sense.

Or it could be all smoke and we want to move down. :)
 
No Texans scouts at the Pro Day for UTEP. QB Jordan Palmer is predicted to go anywhere from the 3rd to 6th rounds.
 
i don't have to ask. houston's looking at them. unless the team is run by a pack of ferrets or something.
