So the offensive line has improved, huh?

If Carr had any pocket sense, he could have taken one step up and to the right and totally avoided Suggs on the second one.

True. I see other QB's do that all the time. Step up, jog to the side a bit. Their head never turns (their eyes must do that or maybe it's that peripheral vision thing I've heard about) and they throw the ball.

Carr haters will never see a bad offensive line. They are blind to the pathetic play of the O-line. Ive asked on several occasions if they see the dropped passes, the interceptions caused by Carr hitting the receiver in the hands and he juggles the ball in the air and the pathetic pass block?

The only answer I get back is: "derrr carr sucks, he play no good."

The line looks bad so far, Carr looks bad, the team looks bad. Pendry should stop talking to carr who did step up and still got sacked and on another play had a guy in his face that he had to throw it away.

Just a bad team all around.

i take back anything positive i ever said about any player on our offensive line.. except Pitts.

we NEED to completely redo our Oline (except pitts). We need to trade down with that #1 overall.. and pick up a FEW olinemen in this years draft. Id love Dbrickshaw..but there are a couple of other Tackles that are first round talent that I wouldnt mind having too. THe good news is that Pitts can play LT for us.. which takes a bit of the pressure off us as far as drafting good olinemen goes. We dont have to find that "franchise LT".. all we need is some talented guys that are alot better than what we have.

First two plays and pitts and weigert give up sacks. They did not look too bad after the first quarter though. I don't like to see milford brown and riley as guards. I think we can get either J.Scott or M.Mcniel. Scott could play LG and we can keep Pitts at LT. M.Mcniel would only be a RT for us. I really like the Giles guy from Georgia, he could be th answer to RG.

Just some random thoughts

I don't like to see Riley at guard either, but it's hard not to miss him... :)

Riley is functional at guard but should not be on our team next year. Unfortunately Wade is locked into a pretty big contract so we can't get rid of him, although I really don't like him at RT. I'm not sure if he can switch to guard or not, but I would like us to draft Eric Winston who could play RT or RG, preferably RT.

So tell me Goldeagle what do you make of me? I see a bad pass protecting offensive line (they run block ok though) and bad play from the QB much of the time. There are quite a few people who feel this way in here but when we post to a thread criticizing Carr we get called "Carr Haters" a lot of the time. When we point out a failing of the line we get derided for not seeing that it was obviously "Carr's fault".

If you don't knee-jerk one way or the other in here sometimes there's just no winning.

Riley on our team reminds me of a story I read about Johnny Cash. He was talking to Rodney Crowell who ended up marrying his daughter and the two of them (Crowell and Rosanne Cash) were visiting at Johnny Cash's house for the holidays I believe. Anyway they wanted to sleep in the same bed while they were there but Johnny & June wouldn't allow it. Crowell threw a big fit and chewed Cash out (in his own home no less). Johnny Cash let him wind down and then told him in a very calm and sincere voice "Son, I don't know you well enough to miss you when you're gone".

That is how I feel about Victor Riley.

After all of the "replace Seth Wand and everything will be better" posts from last year, I always wanted to nickname Riley "The Answer". Too bad Allen Iverson already has that nickname.

Note:

Please excuse this post as well - too many post game martinis.
