So how does parking work at Reliant?

DiehardChris

You betcha!
I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there non-pass parking, or is it all done with parking passes?

2. Assuming you must have parking passes - do you have to have a certain color pass to go with your tickets, or does it matter? I mean, you can park on the opposite side as your tickets, right?

I'm trying to get tix to the Texans/Lions game, and I just want to know how it all works before I start throwing money around. :D

I couldn't care less where or how far I park. I have legs, I can walk.

I can't answer #1. We've always been in the same place, whether it was Blue Lot or after it turned to Platinum Lot.

#2. A lot of us in Blue Crew sit in the Bull Pen, so no it doesn't matter with respect to parkng and your seats. Correct, you can park on the opposite side.

There is no non-pass parking..

All parking must be paid for before the even if I'm not mistaken...

You can park anywhere you want as long as you have a parking pass and you park in that colored lot.

Yellow lot - yellow pass, etc. The Platinum is reserved parking, I believe that is the only lot that is. The rest of the lots are first come first serve.

It's ALL done with parking passes. Cash lasted all of one season for ONE lot.

2. Assuming you must have parking passes - do you have to have a certain color pass to go with your tickets, or does it matter? I mean, you can park on the opposite side as your tickets, right? There is NO correlation between passes and seats whatsoever. I sit in some of the most inexpensive seats and have the most expensive parking.

Just let us know what color parking pass you end up with and I'm pretty sure we've got tailgating reps from pretty much EVERY lot on the board here that would entertain "visitors".

Replies in bold..

There is some parking around the stadium in private lots, if you don't have a pass. I would recommend looking on stubhub for a pass and posting a thread asking to buy one on this board.

If you check stubhub, go all the way to the bottom of the ticket section, there is an area for parking passes. I recommend the yellow lot, you have to experience the preacher and the mojo crew.

Chris,
If you are still looking for tickets, there are several threads here and on the main board offering them for sale. Quite a few of them come with parking passes. Good luck and let us know what lot you end up in.

Another question along the same lines. Is the handicap parking for prepaid parkers only as well? Or, are there provisions that the person with a disability can be dropped off in the handicapped area and another driver park off the grounds and meet up? One of my co-worker's son play on the Detroit team, and she will have tickets, but with a twisted ankle wanted to know if there were provisions for parking in such circumstances. I told her that I thought is was prepaid only, but would check. Thanks

A lot of the games i go to i park in the Fannin parking lot and ride the lite rail to the game. 1 dollar for the train and 10 for the parking. not bad if you dont feel like hassling w/ parking passes
