Sharper to the Bengals??

the reason shanahan traded o'neal to cinci. is because of his shortcomings as a CB. i doubt that type of track record is what dom and cass are looking for.

you know if we trade him to the bengals it would just be for their 1st round pick...i don't see that happening though

Regarding the Bengals, they might want to think twice before shipping running back Rudi Johnson anywhere. A league source tells us that Johnson's backup/heir apparent, 2004 first-rounder Chris Perry, needs surgery for yet another sports hernia.



Perry landed on injured reserve in 2004 with a sports hernia on one side of his body. Now, he's got one on the other side.



There have been whispers that Perry, who had all of two carries for all of one yard in his rookie season, could end up being a bust. We've heard reports that he's had trouble fitting in with his teammates, and it looks like his offseason preparations will take a major blow if he's sidelined for a month or two after undergoing yet another surgical procedure.



On Monday, Johnson signed his one-year, $6.3 million tender, but he's made no secret of his desire for a long-term deal.

If true, I wouldn't think Cincy would be dumb enough make that trade. Or are they? :hmmm:
 
Id take Peter Warrick for the #2, and even though hes a 10 year vet, I would take Kevin Hardy for OLB depth.

Kevin Hardy is a 4-3 OLB not a 3-4 OLB, and Warrick will still be in Cincy this season, he is under contract still and there wont be a trade with houston for him. The bengals will definately not trade away players for sharper. And all the people on here can talk all the smack they want about the bengals but they still had a better record than the Texans did. They are a team on the rise and will open some eyes this season, just as the Texans hopefully will. They have changed their ways and are turning into a good organization that people want to play for. Also, Deltha isnt going anywhere, he had a great year and there were no problems with his attitude. The bengals are only a LB and a DT away from being great this season. The texans are a Dline away. Very similar situations.
 
Who is talking smack? Truth is Cincy is not known for putting up a winning franchise (weren't they getting sued by the city?) over the years.. just had bad drafts


Lewis was a step in the right direction though IMO.
