You’re missing the point. Other players will look at past suspensions, and say he got special treatment. Players do not like that. Those defensive players don't care about the off the field stuff enough to target or injure him. Its not ok, but it is what it is
lol…sure, the people who ultimately arent impacting his life…. However the circles he and his business partners will be running in, noone will be thinking about that. Reality is this is only consuming the drunk retards in football stands…
But dont let him lead the Browns to any significant winning…those folks will really be mad…even tho this whole fiasco went thru all the proper legal channels…all the proper NFL disciplinary channels.
Its over, folks need to just grow up and move on.
This is exactly what I said his "non apology" meant.Good job NFL on making it worse

Not so sure about that, Browns may not care but those companies that hand out endorsements may not be so quick to make him the face of their product. They certainly dropped him fast when everything first came out.
Takes too much energy to keep up the hate…furthermore the american attention span is tiny as hell. Which is why i call all this fake outrage…b/c real outrage moves people to do things beyond booing for a few games…it alters lives to those not directly impacted & i find it real hard to believe that the loudest critics regarding this decision will do little more than boo until they get bored and move on to the next thing they think is blasphemous. The ONLY thing the NFL has ever cared about is money. All the pandering to social causes and specific groups is nothing but a bullshit smokescreen to make more money.
Expecting a bunch of greedy billionaires that profit on public funds to somehow right the wrongs of the world is just foolish. Once folks realize they are nothing but customers to the league, the quicker they will realize that it's nothing more than vapid entertainment - a shallow, meaningless diversion.
Just juggle clowns. I'm bored. This place will be wild when the head pervert clown comes to town.

I believe his ego will not allow him too miss that game. Bad things will happen. He’s not going to play that game. They will find some sort of injury excuse.
NFL players don't care about what happens to other nfl players and their special treatment in that vacuum. Those guys hang out with each other and its a fraternity of sorts. Just like defensive players know offensive players, especially qbs get preferred treatment, but they don't go into it trying to intentionally hurt other players. They don't function like that. I'm telling you this for a fact. You’re missing the point. Other players will look at past suspensions, and say he got special treatment. Players do not like that.
There is a difference between a moment and a movement. A movement requires sacrifice, a moment doesn't. The 2 no bills and the settlements doesn't look like a movement, its a moment. If you're willing to stand on it even if it cost you everything like Curt Flood, then that's a movement. Remember all those people saying they wouldn't watch nfl games with the social justice thing? Well Amazon and Apple aren't been run by dummies and they're bidding on games to the utmost. Yeah, they lost a few thousand fans, but every year, they're gaing those back with the younger generation.Takes too much energy to keep up the hate…furthermore the american attention span is tiny as hell. Those swearing off the NFL b/c of this decision will return very shortly or move on quickly after this 1st season as well.
i just take it for what it is…like you said…entertainment..
He should stop talking
Why are you surprised? The nfl didn't want them books open, didn't want anything upstaging opening weekend. What does Harvey have to do with it?I'm in total disbelief ....
Then Watson basically spits in the face of the process - Screw an apology!
Harvey may have severed that relationship with this result.

Them dudes killed people tooAs far as the NFL suspension, Leonard Little received 8 games for the manslaughter DUI from then NFL commish Paul Tagliabue in 1998. Donte Stallworth was given a one year suspension for manslaughter DUI in 2019 from Roger Goodell.
Little received 90 days in a halfway house, plus community service and probation for his manslaughter conviction. Stallworth spent 24 days in county jail, plus community service and probation.
Quoted for truth. I watched that doc about Cosby when it came out and it was ridiculous. This dude was on Johnny Carson talking about drugging women and yet still was a prominent figure on TV. Dude was an innovator and creep and the same timeYep. The truth is that people would be shocked if they knew the private lives of movie and music entertainers in the same way we know the sordid details of many athletes. The Johnny Depp trial comes to mind.
I expect no high standards for entertainers than anyone else. The NFL needs to focus on just being entertainment instead of trying to be a vanguard of accountability, social justice, or 'celebrating' race for profit.
Anyone familiar with any "rehab" knows that there can be no success with deniability of wrong doing going into it, and don't feel you need to be there to begin with. You don't just miraculously "learn" accountability in rehab..........for someone llke Watson, you just learn "how to play the game" that much better by the time you get out.
Sociopaths can't help themselves. He should stop talking
This will be the most exciting game at NRG/Reliant in a decade. Only opening night vs Dallas and the 1st playoff game can compare. I'll give the Texans a 10 point homefield advantage. This place will be wild when the head pervert clown comes to town.
It was a settlement between the NFL and the NFLPA. Harvey had nothing to do with it.Harvey may have severed that relationship with this result.
Since when has owning up to transgressions been a thing? Before my time.Sickening.

With all the bad publicity for a QB who needed a contract to spell out his "study plan," there seems to be no similar response to the so far unknown wording of Watson's contractual agreement.
