No one has to prove anything , they simply have to convince a jury that he violated one of these women.

What are the chances that after OBrien was fired that the Texans org began to distance themselves from Watson internally, sparking the request for a trade and the tweets about "Loyalty"?

Most likely settlements will be made & if "victims" aren't willing to testify criminal charges usually aren't levied.

From what I understand , the majority of these women are fully prepared to testify in both criminal and civil proceedings.

I think the odds are better than a 50-50 bet that there are criminal charges levied against Watson.

I would fully agree with this except DW4 was on the hiring committee.

I’m sure they are. But if Watson can settle with them now & get them to sign NDAs like Roethlisberger did, they’ll change their minds, or there stories, or whatever & the AG (or whoever) won’t pursue.

NDA's only apply to civil cases.

IF the DA picks this up , they can testify in a criminal case regardless of the NDA.

Why would the DA bring charges after a civil agreement was made ? Because there is evidence that the individual is a threat to society , a predator. I believe the large number of victims makes this quite likely.

This isn't like Roethlisberger's case at all.

Watson messed up big time. He's a much better QB than Dak Prescott, who signed a ridiculous contract this year. Even if Watson gets through this, he'll never be the same. Cowboys WR Lance Rentzel's career was never the same after getting charged with exposing himself to an underage girl.

A while back, maybe last game of season, some people had Fire Easterby signs. Texans security tried to make them take them down. One of the people knew/acquaintances with Hannah McNair. Hannah PM’d the fan:

“Something something something... Easy to act that way when you know nothing.”

I wonder if she was referring to what they knew about Watson and why the character coach was brought in?

Agree. Promptly could be undefined if the full extent of the problem was still under investigation by the team. I would guess the FO is really limited as to their investigative
resources. If they can’t even have their players stand during the National Anthem Pretty sure they can’t ask them what they do in their spare time with IG masseuses.

What are the chances that DW would ask for and expect loyalty and protection while he’s pulling these acts while promoting social justice and they knew about it?

I'm one of the fans in these parts who's been extremely critical of the ownership for acquiescing to O'Briens perplexing and controversial trade of Hopkins to the Cards. It kinda altered my attitude, my sentiments about the franchise.
Another board member who has some internal contacts with the Texans told me way back last Fall the Texans &Watsons own mother were very concerned about his personal relationship with D-Hop.
Anyway if that relationship and this situation with Watson & the masseurs are somehow tied in together I might need to reconsider some things, but problem is most of us will likely never come close to learning the full and complete story.

Unless Buzzby is a total fraud, Watson is on his way out of the NFL with the Texans left holding the bag.

65 million years ago the Houston Dinosaurs thought the light in the sky might be troubling. Nothing's changed apparently.

That’s possible but then I’d have to question why the team failed to pull the trigger on a trade deal rather than risking being stuck with this mess or getting pennies on the dollar in a trade deal.

dw can nix a trade. Folks are coming down hard on the ownership and FO but what about his freakin agent? Nobody talks about him. DW isn’t talking to the Texans but I’ll bet he’s been on the phone with his lawyer agent several times a week the last several months. What did his agent know? Perhaps he wanted DW out of Houston before they learned what was really going on.
 
So the question is.....Has Watson played his last snap in the NFL or is it too early to tell? If not, then what is the most likely suspension?

If he is convicted of criminal charges then yeah very good chance, if no criminal charges are brought and this stays civil and is settled then I think he would be back but it might take awhile. Trouble Watson has is that has been mentioned before the NFL can punish you just because you have embarrassed them and because you allowed yourself to be put into this kind of situation.

The Hopkins trade at the time was such a surprise, so bizarre, so one-sided that it makes more sense now to believe there was more to it than not.
