Selection thread: F-minus67 Patriots - On the Clock

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Kevin Everett, TE, Miami (FL)

The Bucs revert to a BPA strategy and select Everett who may not start right away but will be the heir apparent to an aging Ken Dilger...

The Indianapolis Colts select:

Michael Boley - OLB - Southern Mississippi

Boley was the C-USA defensive player of the year who compiled 60 TFLs & 28 career sacks as a 3 year starter at WOLB. Great special teams player as well. Excellent iinsurance for Colts who may lose David Thornton (RFA) in free agency this year or in '06.

ColdSteelBlue Raiders select Ronald Fields, DT, Mississippi State. (CSB is out and I got this pick from a PM he sent me)

The Eagles select Joel Dreessen TE Colorado State
With the possible retirement of Chad Lewis, Dreessen will back up Smith. Dreessen has very good hands and also long snaps. Dreessen looks to me as being a lot like Chad Lewis, who also was the backup long snapper to Mike Bartrum. If I am right, Dreessen will play a long time in the NFL.

With the final pick in the 2005 houstontexans.com mock draft, the Pats select
Ronald Bartell, CB out of Howard university. While the pats have no positions that need to be filled right away, this pick is for when Ty Law leaves. Standing 6'2" 203lbs, Bartell has the size and speed(4.40) you look for when finding a CB that can match up with the big WRs around the league.
