As much as y'all dislike Buchanon's play, it is completely uncool to be overjoyed at someone's season ending injury.
Just saying.
well regardless of what ever it is...glad to have him outta the line up...he's not dead...just has a sprained ankle...calm downTexans_Chick said:We were going to see Mathis returning punts anyway this weekend, without Buchanon being out for the entire season.

I just wonder about fans who are happy when their own players get injured.
Speedy said:I never wish injury on anybody and the fact that this injury isn't serious, this is going to be a good thing for the team.
1) Mathis returning punts is what I've been waiting for all year.
2) I don't know much about Sanders, but he played a pretty impressive game Sunday night. Will be interesting to see if he keeps that up.

Hervoyel said:It might be a way of getting him out of line of fire I agree. Buchanon has had a bad year, even by the standards of this defense and nobody looks very smart for bringing him here while he's out there getting so much negative attention. I think he might be getting swept under the rug.
Texans_Chick said:Hard to say what is good for the team in advance--maybe it is good, maybe not. Marciano has been trying to give Mathis reps at punts throughout the season, but Johnny has been hurt on and off. I think he will be good at it, and he was slotted to do this on Sunday even before we knew that Buchanon was out for the season.
Personally, I can't think it is a good thing for the Texans that we have less depth and experience at db than we already have.

erickwsmom said:A high ankle sprain for a db will keep him out for 4-5 weeks. It's not like a lineman or a fullback with an ankle sprain. They don't have to run at full speed. Dbs do. Since there are only 6 weeks left, he probably wouldn't play again this season anyway. Might as well get a healthy body on the active roster. This late in the season, you'll start seeing guys put on IR for minor injuries because a season ending injury at this point is only 6 weeks.
