Sean Taylor Punked!

Vinny

shiny happy fan
Redskins Note: Arrington put a scare into safety Sean Taylor yesterday, sneaking up behind the rookie while he was speaking to the media after a minicamp practice and hitting him in the face with a shaving cream pie. The prank -- something Williams called "part of being a rookie" -- left Taylor shaken and yelling that he could not see.

Arrington helped Taylor wipe the cream from his face when he realized the youngster was having difficulty with his vision. Cornerback Shawn Springs was nearby, and he too tended to Taylor.

Taylor, who was the fifth overall pick in the draft and is unsigned at this time, was not seriously injured and left Redskins Park normally.

"I got him good, but I got him too good," Arrington said while leaving Redskins Park. "That's horrible. I feel bad now. But he'll be all right. . . . I've done that before and I've had it done to me, and I've never seen that. He panicked. He scared the bejesus out of me."

That would have sucked if the Skins lost Taylor to a shaving cream pie, and I would have hated to be Arrington.

Redskins | Taylor Out With Eye Irritation - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 7 Jun 2004 12:22:39 -0700

The Washington Post reports Washington Redskins rookie S Sean Taylor (eye) sat out practice Sunday, June 6, with an eye irritation.

Shaving cream? Yeah that's a bright idea.

Excellent work Clandestin!!!!!!!

Best laugh that I've had all day...and I totally agree, not near as bad as the article made it sound.

The Oilers used to send the rookies to Randall's to pick up a free turkey that did'nt exist.

Hopefully, Taylor will not have to have season ending surgery to repair his pie-damaged eye.

lol...No news on Robinson & Babin yet. I wonder what happened to Johnson, Carr, Davis, etc.?
I remember Billy Miller saying it was tough to haze Carr and AJ because they made more money then almost everyone else on the team, especially Carr in the inagural season because he was already a top 5 player on the team.

Davis was injured, so I dont think he did much.

I think I remember G Funk and some other DLmen duct-taping Keith Wright to the goal post, but that's the only thing I heard from last season beyond carrying peoples stuff around now and then.

Bah... maybe Taylor just can't take it. "You can't pie ME!! You know who I am?!?!"

Yeah, kinda hard to see when you have shaving cream in your face.

Anyone else see "shaving cream madness" in Philly when the Skins go to their turf?

The prank... left Taylor shaken and yelling that he could not see.

Great, now I'm going to have "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow" (Zappa) in my head all day today. haha

Taylor looks to be the same size as Arrington. He's a freak. He has the size to play LB in the NFL. I still think that when it's all said and done, Taylor will be thought of as the best player out of this draft.

i think kellen winslow will be the best out of this draft barring injuries to all the players, and like the others said he should of used whip cream

Perhaps Taylor's ball hawking skills would diminish if say Peyton Manning was to cover the ball in shaving cream before he tosses it down field to Harrison. Wonder what a fear of shaving cream is called? eek:

Well a lot of the NFL GMs agree with you, so it's possible. I'm just going by what I saw from them in college, where Taylor's play was head & shoulders above Winslow's last season. Winslow has a good chance at becoming an All Pro TE, but Taylor could revolutionize the safety position. We'll see.

Way back in mini-camp, Arrington popped Taylor with a shaving cream pie in the face. It ended up making Taylor miss a day or two of camp with eye irritation.

Didn't Ronnie Lott play a game with a broken thumb? Guess it might be a different story if Lott had some shaving cream in his eyes.

The kid does look promising, but at the moment he looks to be a handful off the field.
