July 2, 2010 4 games LenDale White RB Seattle Seahawks
July 16, 2010 1 game Leroy Hill LB Seattle Seahawks
December 6, 2011 4 games John Moffitt OG Seattle Seahawks
May 23, 2012 4 games Allen Barbre OT Seattle Seahawks
November 20, 2012 4 games Winston Guy SS Seattle Seahawks
December 5, 2012 4 games Brandon Browner CB Seattle Seahawks
May 17, 2013 4 games Bruce Irvin DE Seattle Seahawks
November 24, 2013 4 games Walter Thurmond CB Seattle Seahawks
December 18, 2013 Indefinite Brandon Browner CB Seattle Seahawks

The total does not include the 2012 suspension implicating cornerback Richard Sherman, who overturned a four-game ban on appeal. The botched handling of a leaky collection cup proved critical to the successful appeal.

No big deal, or where there is smoke there is fire?

That's either the center of the NFL doping universe or the worst locker room in the league at covering it up. I just couldn't begin to say which.

That seems like a lot of busts though no doubt.

Well, four years of rampant PED use has netted them a Super Bowl. Who says cheaters never win. I know a guy who knows a guy. I'll get him in contact with that new S & C coach and we should see some major improvements soon.

Relax fellow Texan fans, I'm on it.

Thanks. Handle it. :)

Do fans honestly give a **** about this anymore? They all cheat or have cheated, they all take some forms of enhancement drugs in college or in the NFL. It's the only way to survive and be competitive each week. And it's easy to do it without getting caught, because the NFL is turning a blind eye to the issue. They of course prosecute the players that get caught, but it's a small amount compared to the total population. If you think only 10 Seattle players have used over the last 4 years, then I got a bridge to sell you....

They do it because they want to recover from injury faster, they want to be stronger, faster, and react quicker to their opponents. And who can blame them for that? It's nearly impossible for people to become the Goliath beasts that NFL players are without some unnatural enhancements along the way. If they don't do it, they will be at a disadvantage to those who do. It's the way of the game, they do it and take on the risks associated with it, and we get to enjoy their superior product.

And I'll gladly take 1 Brian Cushing on the field over 5 Jeff Tarpinians any day.

First question - how many of those players are even on the team now? I know a few.

Anyway, there are a couple ways of looking at this. They could be a bunch of cheaters. Of course, I think we all know that most players in the NFL are cheaters by that measure. Then again, maybe they're testing and/or reporting a bit more stringently.

In the end, they all cheat. Look at players from earlier eras. Hell, look at normal, every day walking around people. Humans don't grow that big on meat and potatoes and lifting, sorry. I know nutrition has improved, our knowledge has improved, blah de blah de blah blah. They're almost all taking something stronger than BCAAs and creatine.

What really sucks is the message it sends to up and coming younger players, They know damn well if they want to compete, they have to cheat.

Carrol involved in a dirty program? Inconceivable.

Yes.

Many of these drugs have severe consequences for your health. If you let people who want to use them, then the game gets taken to another level of speed and strength that clean players can't compete with. They then have to either risk their health to continue their career or become second rate players.

Yes some of us give a **** about steriod use. It's illegal and it comes with high risk of side affects. All you have to do is google the risk of taking ped in the long term.

When you have kids or maybe you do are you gonna tell them it's ok to be ahead of the competition and gonna help them inject steriod in the ass when they are in high school? Because everybody is doing it so it makes it ok correct?

Well it seems like you will be keeping your kids out of high level competitive sports then. I just love it when people use it's for the children line when discussing professional sports. (Same line they use to justify the welfare state in this country) You're being as disingenuous as God'ell.

Personally I'm a whatever it takes to win kinda guy.

Is that not already the case in the NFL? That's my point, the league is already in that situation and they do very little to prevent it. I think the people like Goodell and company know that the enhanced players provide a better product and generate more revenue, so they use very loose methods of testing to ensure less players get caught. It's a business first and foremost, so they will of course have a cover-story if the issue escalates.

I'm talking about the NFL, you're welcome to raise your kids however you want to. If you really want your kids to be NFL players, then you might want to get them hooked up with a special "nutritionist" soon. :)

I understand the risks involved in PEDs; high school kids generally don't and will need that talk (probably several times). I would certainly recommend against it for people who don't plan on pursuing an athletic career. But that's not the current state of the NFL, and to some degree college football. It's rampant, and not just in the NFL either, it's all over the olympic sports, baseball, basketball, cycling, etc etc. Whether we like it or not as fans, it has become the status quo for elite competition in anything athletic.

If you continue to watch and enjoy these sports, you have to accept the fact that much of it is "fake" for lack of a better term. These players are the equivalent of the plastic supermodels and actors of Hollywood who have had all sorts of unnatural enhancements. They aren't realistic, they aren't normal, they aren't natural, and they will go to great lengths to coverup their cheating. And as a society, we have come to accept it. We adore, and in some cases worship, these fakes because they are superior to us. They have changed the way they are by unnatural means, but the people eat it up every step of the way.

So until people start rejecting the NFL wholesale, I don't think anything will change the league. PEDs have become part of the culture, and it's not going to change until it becomes unprofitable. I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying sports that have PED users, but I think you're kidding yourself if you think you can avoid supporting players that use.

Got a close friend who went by this code through out his life. Whatever it took to win in life and become successful. He is now behind bars for a while. But to each their own.
