Sam Bradford

Bradford is likely out of St. Louis with the emergence of Austin Davis. Anyone who follows his career would you say he be a better pick at the QB than Fitz next season? I see this as a low cost high reward pickup.

His health is concerning.

He can't stay healthy.

If his mega contract is expired and can get him on the cheap it's worth a shot

No

You sign him for "whatever" and then depend on him and you're going to spend a year starting whatever JAG you have backing him up. Rinse and repeat.

I have no idea why anyone would want to go through what the Rams have gone through with Bradford. I think it would be an exceptionally stupid move.

Sign Sam and draft the QB of the future in the draft next yr, if Mallett isn't the guy.

I am hoping Savage is the QB of the future. He has all the size needed and imo the skill set so should be ready next season. We should be able to pick up a Bradford type for a back up.

Fitz at least is healthy.

Bradford is always on IR - not much he can do to help the team from there. No need to waste any time or effort on him.

If we bring in Bradford, it needs to be assumed that it's in a mentor role, since history has shown it's foolish to assume he'll be available to play any significant on the field role. And, if we're going to bring someone in as a mentor, I'd prefer it be someone who's experienced the playoffs, but if that's not realistic, how about someone who's at least got a .500 or better record in a season. Bradford's best record in a season is 7-8-1.

You want to bring in someone that can't stay healthy for his entire career and have him a mentor role? He hasn't been on the field long enough to acquired any useful data to anybody. If anything he's shell shocked and frustrated as hell. I keep all my rookies as far away as possible from this guy so his sad stories won't depressed everyone else.

Someone, will, roll, the, dice on, him I, doubt it will be us,

Esp, since it seems Bob has a 3 year full proof job security

In related news I am hoping the tooth fairy drops acid, forgets what its supposed to be doing, and leaves a billion dollars under my pillow. Bet I get mine before you get yours ...

Bradford has ability and is a talented player but he is snake bitten as far as health is concerned and for that reason...........

And the winner/loser of the Sam Bradford derby is (apparently) the Rams.

Based on what was said Friday, there appears to be little doubt that Bradford will be with the team next season — and be the starter.

One exchange was particularly telling during the 20-minute session at Rams Park. When asked if Bradford was kept in the loop during the process of hiring an offensive coordinator, Fisher replied:

“I had a lengthy discussion with Sam, yes, prior to making the decision. It was part of the information gathering process. Sam was very forthcoming. He had some firm opinions. I really enjoyed and appreciated his input.”

So would Cignetti have been promoted to coordinator (after three seasons as QB coach) if Bradford had voiced objections?

“We wouldn’t be sitting here right now,” Fisher replied.

That doesn't mean they won't look for a future replacement/backup at some point in the draft. I think Fisher would prefer a QB that can make an off schedule play on occasion, and would be looking hard at Huntley in the 2nd round.

Bradford's gotten the crap beaten out of him time after time.

After the David Carr experiment, I would think you guys would recognize that....the Rams O-lines have been for crap since he has been there....and besides Stephen Jackson and now Tayvon Austin, what real playmakers has head on offense?

Sam Bradford has permission to seek a trade. Finding compensation to Rams' liking will be difficult. But his agent can speak to other teams

In the end, Rams working out a restructured contract w/Bradford still may be most likely outcome. Thought it's been slow process thus far

I doubt there's a team that will value Bradford more than the Rams do, and GM Les Snead told us he wants Sam back. Few QB options out there

Eagles had 2010 Sam Bradford on par with Peyton

In the lead-up to the 2010 NFL Draft, Lurie disclosed Tuesday, the Eagles evaluated Bradford as "the best young quarterback we'd seen ... probably since Peyton Manning coming out of college."

It was not the first time this week that an Eagles operative drew comparisons between Bradford and the cream of the NFL's quarterback crop.

He was Luck before Luck was cool.
