At least we both still have camera's. That may not have been the case if we would have carried them with us.

Back at ya Big Toro. Chris and I tried to look for Pope's, but after walking around the Superdome, we figured we'd go crash Champion's Square. We were the only 2 red jerseys in a sea of black, white and gold. IT FELT DAMN GOOD TO REPRESENT HOUSTON, AND MADE ME PROUD TO BE A TEXAN!!!!

Just a word to say it was a pleasure to meet all you fine folks and represent. I'll 2nd that the Saint's fans were very gracious and hospitable. It was a great time and I thank JB for haulin me there and back. Wish I could remember everyone's name but I get like that when all of you had been drinkin' and the such ;^)

I think the walk to the stadium was about 16 blocks in the straight line we did not follow. We walked up & down a lot at the stadium. After the game, we walked all the way to the end of the quarter, again not in a straight line.

A whole lot further than my usual fridge to chair & back...

And Glenn is a long strider.
 
How did I get back to the Hotel. Lets see, rocking with Billy and His Better Half then they say lets go. we go outside and shazam I see Texans Jerseys and Tell Billy to go I am staying with the The Texans. Turns out it was yall JB Bill, Mitch and a bunch more. We went into the dungeon and man that was strange. I went down a hall then thru a tunnel then down some stairs to another tunnel then there was this guy with a microphone and a line of people. I waited till the front and thought I was in a libriary but the microphone dude pulled the books open and it was a bathroom. Great cause I was in need. Went back the way I came and then we left and walked to the park. Some dude in a white jersey said come look at this and I went around the park and then yall were gone. I fell flat on my face and got healed by a homeless witch. We, me and this dude in the white Jersey went to a bar and got a drink. then we started to find the hotel that I found 50 ways to get there. When I got to the hotel dude in the white jersey said it was not his jersey and left. Thought it was 4 am when I got to bed. got up at 9 and loaded up and left. Fun Times and I am sorry bout the pope guys and gals he only tailgates the regular season. we all have an invite for next year. I did see the pope friday night and he took care of my friends and me.
 
I'm glad the first day I'm ever in New Orleans I try to stay sober so I can remember things when I'm drunk afterwards. :bender:
 
One thing about getting drunk in NO! Ya don't HAVE to drive anywhere! I didn't get drunk, but, my legs still hurt from all the walking. Good for me though, so I won't complain!

I know this thread will die soon, so I have a couple things to say!

New Orleans fans were much more respectful than I anticipated. I only encountered one chick in the bathroom who told me to GET OUT!!!! She was past the drunk phase though so I simply ignored her, UNTIL she came across the bathroom to attack me. Thankfully, her friend was not as drunk and grabbed her and told her to "STFU!!" The friend apologized, I accepted, and beelined out of that place!! I did wash my hands though!:pursefight:

I haven't been to NO in over 30 yrs, and can't say I'm gonna head back anytime soon. Not my cup of "booze" I guess! lol I did have a FANtastic time with some of the most AWESOME Texan fans around. Everyone was ready to take care of their friend if need be, and I found that a comforting feeling. When I decided not to hang around the bars after the game, I think it was Ron who walked me to Canal and Bourdon street to meet my daughter. He didn't have too, it was only about 3 blocks, but, he insisted he wanted GMA to get there safe. I was surrounded by great fans who love their team, regardless of the crappy game they played.

My legs are killing me, my back is sore, and I don't care!! My sincere THANKS to all of you for making this a super fun trip!!! You probably saw me drink more in one night than I have all year! Two beers and one J&C and I was DONE!:zzz:

I actually have two pictures with Joe Texan that were taken very late Saturday night/early Sunday. I actually do not really remember seeing him but the picture proves otherwise. I also ran into Bronco Billy shortly after. I know this because I found his "tailgate" card in my pocket Sunday morning. Good times. :clap:
