RUMOR: What about Vince Young ?

I heard this on a Saints Board:


I spoke with someone inside the Texas University football staff who has told me ver interesting rumor. He said that he has heard that if Texas wins the natonal championship, vince young will declare for the draft, texans will hire mack brown as their new coach and draft vince with the first pick. I know this sounds lik a stretch but my source is pretty good.

I thought the reference to Texas University was kind of funny myself. And I'm not an Ag.

Matt Leinart wins too, I believe he's like 35-1 in three years and has two national championships, maybe a third in a couple days. Either way, Mack Brown won't be the coach here, and we won't draft Young or Leinart.
 
Matt Leinert also wins with the best RB in college football in his backfield and another possible 1st rounder in White as well.

Vince Young can will a team to a win.

He is actually 37-1 with his only loss coming against Cal in double overtime.
 
that would really suck for houston if they not only got vince young but mack brown as well. they'd be 2-14 again next year.
 
will never happen. i dont know why mack would leave the gravy train he is currently in. he will die or retire at tu.

So he gets the best players he can and just sends them out on the field to fend for themselves?

Texas went from good to great almost solely because Mack Brown found a defect in his own coaching philosophy and changed it. I give him a ton of credit for taking his team to the Rose Bowl this year.
