I guess it could be good for those who are there in the same spots all the time as long as they give them first shot at calling their spots. In the Yellow lot, for example, I know for a fact that the 1st 2 rows on the grass are pretty much the same people every game, in almost the same spots. You have to get there early, of course, but it's usually not a problem. If we weren't allowed to pick those spots when we've basically been there for 11 years, that wouldn't be good.
The first come, first serve first hour, or however long it is, let's people get to their spots anyway. It really only becomes a problem for the late games and the stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid decision they've recently come up with to not let us line up before the game like we've done every single game for 10 straight years. Did I mention how stupid it was?
Then there's the fact that our group usually has anywhere from 3 to 5 cars, depending on who's coming to that particular game and if they've got parking passes or not. The way it is now, we can all park together, but if we went to assigned parking, we wouldn't be able to do that any more.
Of course, not having to get up at 5:00 on a Sunday morning, just to get in line so we can get our spots might be nice, but I've been doing it for 11 years now so it's no deal breaker.
I'm glad they are coming by and asking our input though. Especially those of us who they know are there all the time.
