Round 2 Commentary

Does anyone think whether it be with a future pick, or maybe even Aaron Glenn that we trade up here to grab a Blackstock, Canty, or Cody?
 
We're not going to grab Canty or either Cody...I think if we trade into the 2nd, it would be with our 3rd rounder and a future 3rd rounder...
 
I think New England has a pretty good track record in their picks. They are pretty good at picking OLinemen too. Mankins will be a good player for them.
 
I dont think were gonna trade up, I think Texans will prolly sign another MLB possibly or just leave it at Babin/Wong/Greenwood/Peek, give Peek his shot at OLB this whole year. Babin should also be better.
 
there is a ton of good players left in the top of two. Brodney Poole both Cody's and Brown and Johnson at OG. ALso there is a ton of RB talent out there too.

Yeah the Browns haven't been happy with him since he's gotten smaller and hasn't gotten stronger. Looks like he might be getting his walking papers.

I find the constant commercials annoying...Especially the one with the girl talking about middle relievers...Something about her voice just irritates me...
 
I know it's probably more of a pipe dream trading up, but Darryl Blackstock would be REAL nice since he actually knows a 3-4.
 
i think Faine may turn out ok under crennel. they will want him to bulk up because he is going from a zone scheme to a mauling scheme under crennels new OC. That fits him better than the old regime. i think the brownies go charlie frye here or DE like tuck or cody

ESPN's coverage is very annoying, I don't like any of their annalysts and the time between picks is just ridiculous! I enjoyed Tory Holt though. He's a smart, well spoken guy. As for the second round, I don't expect the Texans to draft up unless they really really wanted a guy but our second round pick is Phillip Buchanon and happy with that.
 
Anybody care to guess who Tampa will pick? I'll take a wild guess and say Charlie Frye...Probably won't be the pick, but that's the first name that came to me...
 
I like how they seem to not really care about the draft anymore...I'm assuming Detroit traded with Tennessee and took Shaun Cody, but I'm not sure...
 
Dan Cody's gotta be a Raider here. I thought they were gonna take him when they traded up in the 1st round...
 
Fun fact that I've seen flash on the screen about 100 times already: The Texans have used 8 of their last 10 picks on defense...Does this mean the chances we take someone on the offensive side of the ball are increased? Just something to chew on :hmmm:...
 
Wow, I miss 20 minutes of the draft and there are 3 "reaches"...Good for us...Maybe we'll get lucky enough to have someone slip to us...
 
The biggest disappointment for me was I thought we could really use Mankins for our O-line. He went to NE and I think they know what they have. He's a lot better than a lot of you think. We could have really used him. I was hoping we could get him by picking up a 2nd rounder, but it didn't happen and it turns out we couldn't have gotten him anyway. Some had him projected into the 3rd round, but I thought that was unrealistic. I still think we need some O-line players, but that's just my thoughts. Its really tough sometimes, but the Texans were always going to take defense over offense, but they had made that a priority by releasing Sharper.
 
Dallas takes Burnett...He could make a very good ILB in a 3-4...From what I've heard, he was one of the best coverage LBs in college football...
 
Looking at some of the prospects in round 3, you think we'll take a shot on Henry from WVA if he's available? I know we've got major character issues here, but Henry's got 1st round talent, but is slipping as we speak, and though there are SEVERAL guys I thought would be gone in the top 25-30 picks (Cody and Blackstock namely).
