High intelligence, high character guy like Ryans will be a fantastic compliment to Mario. Hopefully, he can stay in Mario's ear and keep him going.

He can play ALL THREE LB spots. That's what makes him such a great pick. Whether it's Orr, Greenwood or Cowart who can't deliver, Ryans will have their back.

Peek was never going to make it as a linebacker. He's an undersized defensive end. Mario took his spot, not Ryans.

And since none of our three LB spots are locks, if I'm wrong about Peek he still only has to beat out Morlon Greenwood.

I'm not complaining about us not taking those guys..I'm just stating an opinion that some of these teams have improved and they sat back and had players drop to them. I'm glad we are getting tough on D.
 
I agree with Vinny I would try to package one of the 3rd and the 4th rounder to move into the second round and pick up an o-lineman.

If put stock in the draft pick value chart, our two #3's = this #37 pick.
 
Definitely wouldn't be against this. There is a lot of value here but they seem to be falling fast. I'd wait until I saw a run rather than jump up for no reason and one of the top 2 fall in our lap.

Not to me. We will end up with more Wands, Peeks, and Ragones....nice role players...but we can snag a 10 year starter here.
 
Wow, i just got in....cant believe the talent that has slipped-im psyched...there will be quality @65 and 66. however if winston is still there @ 55 ish- trade up with 66 and 98
 
If Lendale doesn't go at #39 to Tennessee, I imagine he will fall to the 3rd round. If Chow takes a pass, something's seriously awry. They need a tackle too, so maybe it's Justice. But if they pass on both these guys, there's no telling where the fall for these guys stop.
 
I'd be willing to see us use our 3rd next year with one of the thirds this year. This draft class is so deep this year, I'd rather not package any this year picks.
 
I just don't see us taking guys with Character issues. I doubt we'd take Winston Justice even thought he's a perfect fit for us.
 
Amazing that all of these highly touted OTs are left this far in the draft. I expect to see a run on them being taken up soon.

Maybe we wait till Justice is taken then we move up and get Winston?
