Round 1 Commentary Thread

I don't like the Ngata pick by Baltimore. I saw his highlight films and he's got absolutely no explosiveness. His "fatness" is why he was a good college player. Fat players who play fat don't translate well in the NFL. Definitely should have went to the athletic Bunkley route. The only thing I'm impressed with is his ability to eat twinkies.

I very much like Denver's moving up to get Jay Cutler. I think he will be a great replacement to jake the mistake Plummer.

3-4 DLinemen aren't particularly explosive in general. The idea is to stay at home and tie up the offensive line so the linebackers can make the plays.

Trying to change the subject? Lawson was better.

How was I trying to change the subject? I was merely pointing out a (somewhat) humorous typo...

If he thinks Lawson is better, fine...Good luck trying to fit him into a 4-3...

Vince Young...Superstar...goes to the Titans. nice.

hes better than all the idiotic haters think anyway. Show me a "run only" QB who can throw for 3000 yards when their team averages 50 points a game....they had such massive leads he had no reason to throw the ball...if they were in close games his numbers would be unreal

IF HE WERE IN CLOSE GAMES, HE WOULD CERTAINLY NOT HAVE HAD THOSE NUMBERS - BECAUSE THE COMPETITION WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, AND HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO MAKE SOME THROWS. THIS GUY HAS NOT SHOWN, IN GAMES, AN NFL ARM. IT IS PRECISELY BECAUSE OF THE BAD TEAMS THEY PLAYED THAT HE LOOKED AS GOOD AS HE DID. WATCH THE GAMES, NOT JUST THE STATS - HE DIDN'T THROW THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD MUCH AT ALL. WHEN HE DID, THEY WERE PRETTY WELL HIGH FLY BALLS - TOO MUCH AIR UNDER THEM (OHIO STATE COMPLETION SHOULD HAVE BEEN PICKED OFF). I UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE LIKE VINCENT, AND WANT HIM TO DO WELL, BUT HE HAS A LONG, LONG WAY TO GO...

Time to start moving on up! Here is an area where there is a ton of decent players that can help the Texans are available...

D Angelo or Justice!!!!

Both SD and KC aren't going to take RBs....Lets go Texans!:superman:

He was voted MVP of the team.

What is going on with Winston Justice? He had an awesome pro day....

He's sliding because of character concerns, most likely (suspended for the 2004 season for pointing a gun at a fellow USC student and soliciting a prostitute)...

Mortensen said a couple of minutes ago that he may have some character issues...he didn't elaborate but that's what he said

He pulled a fake gun on a USC student that he thought (mistakenly) was his buddy. Not a big deal, IMO.

They had a special on him right before the Rose Bowl. He has cleaned his act up IMO.

I will be disappointed, somewhat, if the Texans don't end up with an OT or an OG (or hopefully both!) on the first day.

Nice! Not sure we need that guy...

His side of the gun story was that he pointed it at a car that he thought was being driven by a friend, and he wanted to scare him with his new toy gun...The driver of the car called the cops and charges were pressed, leading to his suspension...He seems very remorseful when discussing the event...

As for the incident with the prostitute, though, I have no idea...

We MAY (I stress MAY) end up with one OL on the first day...There is no way we take two...

anybody else think that New England will look to replace Givens depature with both the top two prospects Holmes/Jackson still on the board :stirpot:

You would think that a football star on the number 1 team in the nation could get some without having to pay for it though...

anyone know where a copy of that draft value chart is. wondering how many positions we could move up with our 2cnd and 3rd.

Because there has been NO disappointments for us today, has there? :sarcasm:

Well, think of how much the guy weighs? Maybe he's insecure, maybe his "organ" is tiny:whistle:
