Former Oilers linebacker Robert 'Dr. Doom' Brazile elected to Hall of Fame
Outside linebacker Robert Brazile became the fourth member of the Luv Ya Blue Oilers to be voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Brazile, nicknamed "Dr. Doom," was a senior nominee who was elected by the 47-member selection committee Saturday and introduced at the nationally televised NFL Honors Show at the University of Minnesota.
"This is the ultimate dream come true for Robert Brazile," Brazile said. "I've always loved this game of football. You know what football just told me tonight when I got that knock on the door? I love you back.
"I can't believe it. Words can't describe what I'm feeling right now. I wanted this so bad. To be able to share this honor with my family and friends is unbelievable.
"This means so much to me. I'm so happy because my parents will be able to share this experience with me."
I'm surprised nobody mentioned this in the forum. Huge congrats to Dr. Doom for a much deserved honor, and much respect for John McClain for promoting him year after year!!
