A co-worker told me he heard Smith on the radio on the way to work today. Probably not the show you are talking about. We were talking about mini-camp starting, and he said Smith had this to say (paraphrased and second-hand):

We are continuing to do what we've been doing in OTAs. They have been very successful, so we aren't going to change what we are doing just because the calendar says we can do other things.

This confirms something I had heard earlier about these mini-camps. I think it is interesting the approach is to monitor what is going on in practice and adapting the schedule to what is successful, rather than following a rigid schedule regardless of feed back.

I've heard last year's min-camps described as "three days of hellish two-a-days". Quite the contrast to this year.
