I'm skeptical too. I like Albert more. Dude plays with a mean streak. Williams, not so much.
 
If it's between Gholson & Jake Long, why wouldn't the 'Phins take Gholson ?
Afterall he whipped-up on Long in 3 years of face-to-face meetings.

but i do think Parcells can see Gholston as being the next Lawrence Taylor. certainly athletic enough for it.

That's the problem with him....when he's motivted he's godzilla. He destroys every thing in his way. Where is he the rest of the time ? The tape doesn't match the numbers. Best athlete on the board no doubt. Enough Saen Gilbert there to make a GM queezy.
 
The Dolphins are going to take Chris Long imho. No way Gholston goes in the top 5. Maybe Jets or Patriots.

no DE is going to shine on every play. you only really expect them to make a big impact on a dozen or so plays a game.

IMO the soundest argument of all because there's no better measurement of a
players ability and potential than how he does one-on-one (man-o-man-o)
vs. top competition. Just like Otah whipped up on Chris Long whem they met,
its gotta be factored in to a players ratings.

I share this opinion as well. I just don't think Williams will be anything more than average at the next level. I see him being a slight upgrade to Chester Pitts at LT. I'll accept Williams if he is the pick, but I don't think he is going to be anything special...or worth our #18 when we look back at this draft.
