Reggie Bush on Rome in 30 minutes

Sportsfan

Rookie
Just got out of my truck and Rome said Bush was coming on in the final hour which i think is from 1 -2pm.
Don't bother Rome bashing here, just giving a heads up for those of us that can't listen.
Fan of Rome or not, he is an excellent interviewer, very thorough and articulate. Should be a good one w/Reggie.

Just listen to the Sport Radio 610 Sports stream. That's what I am doing. Rome is a little annoying, but I like that he will ask the questions that no one else will.

He's coming on after the commercial break. I hope to get his perspective about what's happening with the negotiations. Sure he'll be political about it.

i'm guessing this isn't rome is burning the tv show...can anyone post what's being said for those of us who can't listen please

Basically, Bush was asked if he knew what was going to happen and he said no idea.

He said that the Texans were very interested in him when he came there but he doesn't know how that is all gonna come out.

The only teams specifically mentioned were the Texans and SF, the 49ers reference was kind of in passing.

He brushed aside the workload questions about him, that everybody has to have a knock against them during the draft process, but that his numbers speak for themselves in games that he has had a heavy workload and that the nature of playing for a talented team at USC means he didn't get as many touches.

He basically said that he conducts all his business in a way where he feels like he perpetually needs to prove himself--to continue to get better at what he is doing.

Yeah, he would be disappointed if he wasn't chosen 1, but he would get over it. Thinks he will be chosen 1, either by the Texans or someone else in a trade.

It didn't sound particularly encouraging that he would be a Texan. Just very up in the air. No discussion of talks with the Texans.

Thanks for the recap, Texans Chick.

I'm glad there's only 8 more days of this circus remaining.

To me it seems like the Saints are holding all the cards. The top five teams who are picking 3 of 5 need QB's. With the extension of Carr and the signing of Brees the Tampons, Jets. and Raiders look to be taking a QB. Knowing the Saints wont be taking a QB leaves the Tampons sitting at three to take either Liehart or Young. Unless of course the Jets or Raiders Leap frog the Tampons and trade with the saints. Only then would the Texans #1 have a value. If you are tenapee do you bite the bullet and give all your draft picks to your division rival? If not are the Texans willing to drop to #5 in the draft and trade with the Raiders?

So my point is now we have the Texans bringing in Williams to show BUsh we are willing to take someone else so if he really want to be the #1 overall he should sign for what the Texans are offering or going to offer. If not they sign Williams. Win Win. Bush is playing the same game. Now he has gone from saying he has worked his whole life to be the overall number one and he wants very badly to be the overall number one to now saying that he doesnt care if he is the #1. In that showing the Texans he is willing to play else where.

The games we play
