will be used more as a WR or a RB? what happens to Domanick Davis. i would hope to see him remain in the starting lineup and then bush can be your new #2 reciever. any thoughts?

Reggie Bush as a WR?

Yes. You'll have two wideouts, Bush going to the slot, and Davis in the backfield. Along with Putzier that'll give Carr 4 receivers running routes downfield with Davis there to run or take the dump off. Defenses will have to respect the run and the pass. Or you could line up both Bush and Davis in the backfield with the two WRs and Putzier running routes. Things should really open up, especially with an improved line.

I play highschool football, and this team we played in the semis had two great running backs. They would run a split back formation, we never had any idea which one the ball was going to, and because we worried so much about that, it opened up the pass so much more. The team ran and threw all over us, if they just had a good passing game we could have stopped it or if they just had a good running game we could of maintained it, but the fact that on any play we knew they could do anything with it opened everything up. Reggie Bush and DD will have the same effect, it could be something great, because name one other NFL team that is capable of doing that. I mean I would put DD at the same rank as Shaun Alexander talent wise (DD when healthy) because Shaun has that all madden offensive line in front of him. Putting that kind of running talent with a back who is as lethal as LT back there, how do you game plan against that? And when you do figure that out Carr will be hitting AJ deep every play. As opposed to last year teams would double andre and stack the line and we had 0 success.

I think Reggie is the epitamy of a flexback/scatback, He should really thrive in Kub's zone blocking scheme with his natural cutback ability. He will probably run a lot of flat routes including screens so don't look at us to get slow lineman and this should help Carr stay alive. He will split wide, don't expect him to go over the middle much because we don't want him killed but up the middle but a dump off would be a natural.

Im just excited to see our offense this year. Kubiak is an offensive guru, and having weapons like andre and reggie should have him salivating. I want to see some inventive plays, cause with talent like that... anything is possible.

Alright, I think Reggie Bush can be the most electric (if not productive) offensive threat to come along in the NFL in the last few years, but I have to put the brakes on all this speculation on him being a solid 2 reciever, or even a reliable 3. Make no mistake, if Bush comes here, his best contributions will be running the ball, catching screens, and returning punts (if they let him). Has anyone seen Bush run a route in college other than a fly or a quick slant? To assume that dude is gonna come in and just rip up all types of NFL coverages is setting yourself up for disappointment. If we can get Bush out the backfield on a linebacker, then that is all day long, but to assume we are gonna throw him out there against NFL quality CBs and S and he is gonna act a fool is dreaming. His receiving skill supplements his running, but he will have nowhere near his potential impact on offensive if he is not used as a tailback primarily...

Oh, I've seen him in the slot, but I have to be honest, most routes I saw were straight speed routes; quick slants or streaks. I'm not suggesting at all that he can't do it, with his cutting ability that would be ridiculous. I just want to get the point across that he is a tailback first, and a receiver occassionaly...
