Reasons the Texans will win in Indianapolis this Sunday

Whether we win or lose, I'd like to see Mario sack Peyton at least twice and shut up his critics a bit.:mario:
(But we know you can't shut up a critic. If he gets two sacks, the critics will say that he should have got three.) But that would be a positive step in my opinion.

If you weren't talking to him....who were you talking to??? spooky...:yikes:

Relax buddy. It was just an assumption. Plus my post was far from being negative towards you. Notice the TEASE smiley??:tease:

As I've consistently said myself...this year probably won't be a great year for us in terms of wins. Likewise, I don't think we have the advantage going into this game...but that's not to say we can't win, I just think that right now our offense and defense both have some big strides to make before they can got toe-to-toe with such an offensive powerhouse.

However, I DO expect us to be in sinc and put up one hell of a game on Christmas Eve in Houston!

While I am rooting like mad for the Texans to win... However, there are a variety of gaping holes that will prevent us from doing so:

(a) Secondary can't hold coverage with the ineffective pass rush.

(b) Lundy will have to carry most of the load this week, unless Gado gets up to speed quick. The RBs active for this game (Gado, Lundy, and Dayne) will have to do a much better job picking up blitz packages. I think this is a little much to ask given the newness of the RB core to the system (with the exception of Dayne - who probably won't be in there on passing downs).

(c) Spencer vs. Freeney... did anyone see Merriman vs. Gallery on Monday night? This is what I fear with the speed rushing.

(d) Carr's patience... will be interseting to see how Carr handles a little pressure in a hostile environment... seemed to crack a little at the end, and that was at home. After the 1st sack, which is hopefully in at least in qtr 3, the crowd will go crazy like sharks smelling blood.

In preseason and especially against Philly, we have shown nothing to believe that we can stop the passing game with our defensive pressure on the QB.

The only way the Texans have a snowballs' chance in hell is if Peyton Manning loses his throwing arm before Sunday and is forced to pull a "Rick Allen," in which they still would probably win.

The diff between the Texans and the Titans is at least the Texans look competitive. I mean Chad freaking Pennington, COME ON:brickwall . You guys made him look like Peyton Manning on steroids. Last game I seen him play in, I thought to myself, I would pull him and play my sister. ( She over weight, slower then a herd of turtles, and has the I.Q. of a tack fan riding the short yellow bus and yea not by coinciedence she's a tack fan.)

They got a Q.B. that given time, has proven he can lead. You got V.Y., I know I know, what has he proven though? Billy Bob has done squat. And then we have Collins, for crying out loud the Radiers don't even want him.

Realistic, I dont think the Texans can beat us, however you all will fair better then in the past. I believe it will be a more competitive game then the score will reflect. However take solace in the fact you all could be Titan fans.

I have the up most respect for Texans fans. For the most part you all seem to speak the truth (there are those homers that all sites have). You call it like you see it. If you get beat outright you accept it, and move on. Titan fans got every excuse in the book, talk smack that borders insanity, and are overall a preverbial pain in the back side. I could go on forever, but hey you get the pleasure of being in the same division so I dont need to tell you.

Good Luck Sunday all, and heres to a well played, injury free game...........Remember any given Sunday...........Just not this 1 I hope:ok:

If that our chance of beating the Colts, I'd hate to see what ya'lls chances would be. I guess Manning would have to lose both arms and a leg.
No, we would have to lose Manning period.

Jim Sorgi to the rescue!! Seriously though, that thought must keep Indianapolis awake at night...
Anyway, here's to a good game, and please, just this once (and again in December, lol) a Texans win.

yeah right...:superman:

The Colts will lose because I will destroy them with my brian.
An alternative point of view is one in which i've been drinking for the past 8 hours...

So... It's pretty much a coin toss!!!

to be honest i dont think we have a shot at the colts this week, just being realistic....nor strahan or usemoriya(i think thats how u spell it) got a sack, and their Dline is far superior to ours, even when they were in mannings face, peyton still made the play....we're in for a long night.....all i ask for our boyz to keep playing hard til the end and never give up..

Here's why:

1.) There is no home field advantage in the NFL anymore.

2.) We looked fantastic at the beginning of the Eagle's game. I haven't felt that way in a long time about our team. We had confidence. We played like we were supposed to be fantastic - Offense and Defense.

3.) After the confusion of the McNabb to the wide open Stallworth play, we lost every bit of confidence that we had. It was like we reminded ourselves, "Oh yeah, we're a bunch of losers." That attitude will not stick.

4.) Kubiak and his crew definitely have something to prove to the world now. Peyton's Place would be the ultimate venue for that display.

5.) There is no alternative. We will win.

Sounds like its a lock then. I take it you have gone to gallery furniture and purchased your $3000 worth of furniture since it will be free if the Texans win. Now that would be putting your money where your mouth is to back up your reasoning.

I don't live in Texas. So I didn't realize the whole Gallery furniture thing was going on. I live in Athens, GA. Proud home of Dunta Robinson.

1. Our uni's are better than theirs.
2. Someone has to win the biggest upset of the year. Why not us?
3. The Colts have never seen Kubiak's offense...oh wait.
4. We have 1 more Heisman Trophy winner than them (doesn't that sting Peyton?).
5. We are going to unveil our new secret weapon, Sam Gado.
6. "H" comes before "I" in the alphabet.
7. The alternative is that we lose.

Hey Ogre,

You need three more to make it on the Letterman show.

Reasons the Texans will win in Indianapolis this Sunday

Because the Texans are hiring Mayflower to move the Colts back to Baltimore in the middle of the night...

No sacks, but only 1 td, 1 pick and 260 something yards...not too great of a performance (I would know, I had him on my FF team and lost by one point...on a funny note, if I would have started Carr instead of Manning, I would have won...lol)

No, those thoughts make us curl up in a corner, cry like a 3 years old and if it ever happens, someones gonna need to change alot of diapers round here.

we didn't BLIOTZ aghainst Philly and during preseason I don't think we did, that's why it's called rushing the passer. if we blitz 25% of time on Peyote Manning like Eagles did Carr I think we can beat them

Much like the Chiefs the Colts would be in a deep pile of Peyton went down. A win is a win, but I would rather beat the Colts with Manning at the helm. No excuses baby!

The Eagles was easy on the Texans compare to the butt whipping they about to receive against Manning & Co. Ya'll think McNabb was picking our defense off, watch what Peyton Manning do, it will be worst.

Like someone said, "The only way Texans wins if Manning don't show up."

Good Luck. Tinhorns. I don't hold much hope for you in this one but would not be upset if you proved me wrong.

Appreciated. And nice win against Dallas last week. Good luck against the champs.

I'm hoping for an upset. What would that do for this team and the city???? That would be awesome.

A win is not impossible only improbable, this team will get better and better each week.We probably dont win this game but I wouldnt be shocked if we did.The main thing I want to see is improvement because I dont expect to see this team take many steps back. Now go on Texans and do the improbable!

As one of the ol time greatest coaches ever once quoted from that same team that Gado is coming from "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing." :fans:
