I have a sneaky suspicion that he is going to blow up at the combine and start the discussion. Potential 5 tech (stout) that could get sacks with speed.

He needs to keep his bad level down. But I think he is everything you look for in a 5 tech.

In the games I watched he was slow and ineffective. Would not be surprised to see him drop quite a bit from what media talking heads say.

He's a better athlete than football player. Will blow up the combine and jump up some draft boards, but not close to Clowney IMO.

Now the question is, will Clowney be exposed at the Combine as lazy or whatever? Could be a double swing.

Definitely needs to work on pad level based on what I saw. But, besides that I didn't really see a good football player. Stood straight up a bunch...no burst out of his stance....

Looks like he hasn't had good coaching. Reminded me of a guy you find walking around a highschool that is big and a good athlete so you put him on he field and tell them something basic like get to that ball carrier. If you let them get into your house (the endzone) they'll hurt your family.

Except he's not in highschool. He's about to be a pro. He can improve with some good coaching, but he's not a player I'd take a chance on early in the draft. Firing out of your stance low and with explosion as an interior d lineman is a must in the nfl. Hes going to have to put in tons if work. And even then he could be a huge disappointment.
