Rank Them on what we take first.

For the FUN of it, lets say you have the pick of ANY of these players which somehow (I know, it wont happen) have all fallen to the 8th pick. Rank who we should take (Only 5) and what order. Might be nice to give a reason too..

Here are the choices.
JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas
Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
Ted Ginn, Jr., WR, Ohio St.
LaRon Landry, S, LSU
Reggie Nelson, DB, Florida
Leon Hall, CB, Michigan
Charles Johnson, DE, Georgia
Levi Brown, OT, Penn St.
Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida
Marshawn Lynch, RB, California
Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC
Lawrence Timmons, LB, Florida St.

Remember, only pick your top 5 and put them in order on what you would take for the Texans.

1. Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin - We've never had a good O-line. He would be a step in the right direction.
2. Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech - Best player in the draft. I'd love to have Johnson and Johnson lined up with Moulds as the slot guy.
3. Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma - A Dayne, Taylor, Lundy, Gado, and D. Williams combo just won't cut it. All are backup guys not starters.
4. Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson - Adams and Williams would be a hell of a pass rush for years to come.
5. JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU - Has loads of talent. Wouldn't have up start at all this season, but I think he'll be a very good QB in the NFL.

1. Joe Thomas. We can move Spencer to Guard, Weary to Center and we have a good O-line.

2. Adrian Peterson. Franchise back.

3. Amobi Okoye. He and Mario are only 3 years apart or so. Put em next to each other and offenses will have a limited game plan.

4. JaMarcus Russell. Huge risk and project, but good upside.

5. Calvin Johnson. As close to a can't-miss prospect as I've seen.

Off my first round board for the Texans.
Ted Ginn, Jr., WR, Ohio St.
Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame

My ranking
1. Joe Thomas, OLT, Wisconsin
2. Levi Brown OLT Penn St.
After today not to have Levi Brown in the group is ludacrous. He may well be the pick.
3. Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas
4. Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
5. JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU

the top ten should be:
1. joe thomas
2. adrian peterson
3. calvin johnson (just too good of a prospect to have lower than this)
4. alan branch
5. levi brown
6. reggie nelson
7. gaines adams
8. jamaal anderson
9. laron landry
10. amobi okoye (out of this top ten this is the only player that the texans have talked to)

i do not have jamarcus russell on there because i really do believe oakland is going to take him and i still have my doubts about the texans using another 1st round pick on a QB
