Rams QB Sam Bradford is out for season

There was a lot of chatter about the Rams drafting a QB at #2 -- most was planted, but some was serious b/c of Bradford.

I was surprised they decided to risk going all-in on Bradford. I expected them to at least go Murray or Mettenberger in the mid-late part of the draft.

One of the things that really bothered me about this QB class is that the Rams never hinted they were interested in any of them. Not even in the late rounds.

Sucks for the Rams and for Bradford - I actually was very interested in what they would be able to do this season.

If I were them I wouldn't go out to get a QB. Their season is basically over and no QB they could get will change that. But they have all the right pieces around that QB - I would try to develope their young QB and go for a high draft pick. Get someone like Mariota or Winston in there next season and they can be really special.

They've been building a strong defense & a strong running game just like us, the 49ers, & the Seahawks. Losing Bradford doesn't mean their season is automatically over. Mark Sanchez from just three years ago could be enough to give them a shot.

Even without Bradford they will be too good to get a top 10 pick. They are used to playing without him anyway and have a very solid roster outside of the QB position.

Got to think they are picking someone up here.

Sounds like Sanchez isn't thrilled by the idea of a trade for him. Plenty of other QBs around, but none are a real standout option for them. I'd be interested to know what teams would be willing to part with a starter, with a highly touted rookie sitting behind them (thinking of the likes of Cassel, Hoyer and Henne).

With Bradford's contract situation, you have to think they are thinking post-Sam now, and could pick up one of the guys above as a two year placeholder whilst they figure out a long term prospect through the draft/FA.

Because the Rams have been such great evaluators of the QB position? They screwed up. They'll be sitting at the bottom of the division (again) with 4 1st round D-linemen and no QB.

Substitute Rams for Texans and I wouldn't notice a difference. :choke:
