Can Pollack overcome "measurables" in draft?
A few lines:
"Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard," Pollack says -- and is there any doubt he has rehearsed and rehashed that go-to line for about, say, the past 12 years? "It's all about who's willing to pay the biggest price to be successful."
For every Mamula or Courtney Brown or Jamal Reynolds -- guys who nail workouts and skyrocket up draft boards -- there aren't nearly enough David Pollacks: guys who don't necessarily fit the prototype but will drain every ounce of energy every time they step on the field.
"He is Tedy Bruschi," says one AFC scout. "He's one of those guys who is eternally pissed and motivated because people don't believe in him."

Great article today in the Chronicle (gasp!) on Terrance Murphy:
Murphy programmed to receive
It seems he is a big student of the game and has over 200 hours of game tapes. It also projects him going in the late 1st to mid 2nd round tomorrow.
