Projected draft order as of 12/25

A guess at draft order, as of 4:30 PM Christmas Day:

Based on my projections for Week 17 wins and losses (assuming Miami loses tonight), here’s what I project as the top 10 draft order.

1. Detroit 2-14
2. Oakland 2-14
3. Cleveland 4-12
4. Tampa Bay 4-12
5. Arizona 5-11
6. Washington 5-11
7. Minnesota 6-10
8. San Francisco 6-10
9. Houston 6-10
10. Miami 6-10
 
I think picking in the 9 range is results in a much better price/performance value than the top three, especially after the last draft's massive contracts.

2 Oakland 2-13 .546 finally take a QB with 1st pick - QB Brady Quinn
3 Cleveland 4-11 .533 want to pound the ball keep defense rested - RB Adrian Peterson
4 Tampa Bay 4-11 .542 Galloway getting older, Gradkowsli needs another weapon to spread d - WR Calvin Johnson
5 Arizona 5-10 .492 somehow defense has to stop teams late surges address defense w/ playmaker - DE Gaines Adams

You are a genius. A complete genius. My projection was based on who is going to win or lose in week 17. Do you think we are going to lose to the Browns? As negative as I've been, I think we'll beat the Browns. That'll make us 6-10 and based on SOS for the projected 6-10 teams, we'll draft at 9. You think you are a draft expert? I think you are a genius. You are soooo much smarter than I am, figuring out where we'd draft if the season ended today.

FWIW my guess is we'll beat the Browns and pick around 9th, which is fine. Let the Raiders and Lions fight over #1. We have way stupider things to fight about over here in Texans messageboard land.

I don't know much about the browns and am certainly not saying they are good or anything but wow. it looks like they had a pretty tough schedule. 9 of the teams are either going or have a outside chance of going to the playoffs. we both played oakland..but they did lose to tampa bay..ouch.

I'm hoping we finish the season strong with 2 wins in a row. Any way you look at it We did just beat the colts and i'm thrilled. I kinda saw that happening and I kinda see us losing to the Browns...again. Hope not though.
